We called McHales to come unclog our kitchen drain. We expected a decent price and good work based on reviews we read. Unfortunately that was not the case! The price that they quoted was 3 times higher than what we wound up paying with another company. McHales did not even look at anything when they gave a quote of over $600 to unclog a drain, or $1900 to unclog the drain and replace the garbage disposal. Again he never even looked at anything! We paid the fee for them to come out and do absolutely nothing but ask me questions. With paying that fee and the cost from the other company, it was still significantly less than the quoted $600. I would not recommend this company for any plumbing needs!

This was my first service call from McHales. Joe M. arrived within the given time window. He was efficient and very friendly. He cleared our kitchen drain and bathroom drains quickly. I will definitely use McHales again!

I don't know what the bad reviews are all about but these people are great!!! We had a plumbing emergency and they came right away! So professional, very prompt and very kind. Joe was our technician and he is fabulous! Thanks guys you really did a great job and went the extra mile and it didn't go unnoticed!!!

Great job done by Mark K...they replaced a faucet (small job) in under 20 mins. I would certainly use them again for any jobs I wouldn't do myself. Nice guys too.

Yesterday I called and told them I needed a plumber for a clogged washer drain. I told them I wouldn't be there between a 40 minute window. I ran a few minutes late my 30 year old son got home and let him in. He wrote 2 estimates. My son called and I was on my way home,I told the guy I'd be 8 minutes he said he'd be back tomorrow because I have to be there. Today he shows up writes another estimate. He said he didn't have the $10 plastic drain pipe. When I called I was told for $39 they charge I will get a fully stocked truck. He goes out to his truck and calls the company. They want $100 to do it tomorrow. I told him he's fired and for $700 your crazy. I had my kitchen snaked for $60. Then I called the office and wanted to know why this guy doesn't have a fully stocked truck?? BECAUSE HE ISN'T A PLUMBER! WHO SENDS A MORON THAT'S NOT LICENSED TO DO A PLUMBING JOB?? IN THE STATE OF PA. THAT'S ILLEGAL. DO NOT CALL THESE RIP OFF ARTIST'S! I SHALL BE MAKING A FEW CALLS AND LEAVING MORE REPORTS ABOUT THEIR PATHETIC BUSINESS ON OUR HARD EARNED DOLLRS.

I made a huge mistake wasting my time and $40 on these people for a ridiculous estimate. They wanted over $1000 to replace a small section of pipe between my tub drain and tub p-trap, snake the line and replace the stopper. They charge by the job not by the hour and their prices are insane. I've never heard of any plumber around here charging more than $100 an hour. This job takes less than 3 hours to complete. If they did charge by the hour that would be around $300 in labor and then what..$700 for roughly $50 worth of materials from home depo!? They also wanted around $300 just to clear the drain with a snake after I had already cut the pipe for easy access if I had chosen to do the repair myself. I'm sure they do good work but don't waste your time on these people if money means anything to you.

I cannot express my appreciation, it is beyond words. Sheila not only called back as soon as the office opened (I left a message over a weekend), she did her best to schedule the service as soon as she could. As we were without water for two days, she followed soon after and sent first available service engineer in 30 minutes. Her customer service skills are outstanding, her people skills are extraordinary, her kindness, compassion and understanding of the distress are beyond measure. What an amazing professional and a loving person! My highest respect and gratitude!
