I had an issue with my toilet. I had a new floor put in. the guy who did my floor did a great job, but he wasn't a plumber and my toilet was not attached to the floor right. I called McGough Plumbing in Lynn. The were right on time and finished the job in about 20 minutes. One of the workers overheard us talking about how my outside hose had been turned off by another worker. Before they left, they went in the basement and turned it on for me and even tightened it, because it was loose and leaking. They didn't even charge me! They were very inexpensive for the job. I will call then for any other future jobs from now on. Simply a great experience. I highly recommend McGough Plumbing!

They return messages and call back ASAP. They show up when they say they're going to. They're always so friendly, and we always are shocked at the price. We never feel taken advantage of (my grandmother and I know nothing about plumbing). We've had a few urgent issues, and they are always here by the next day to help us.

A messy burst/corroded main stack pipe leading from my tub and sink into our dining room ceiling. The crew was diligent, clean and put everything back in working order. Scared to get the bill with four guys in my house but was pleasantly surprised about the reasonable price. Would highly recommend them. Knowledgeable about the ""joys of old houses"", professional, polite and good pricing. Definitely recommend them.

Coming out of 'yelp retirement' again to give thumbs up to Bob and his mate, from McGough's.
The old (out of warranty) boiler burst at 7pm, I managed to turn off the gas and water and do some flood damage control. I called McGough's at 9 am on Christmas Eve (!), and Kelly at the office had Bob come around to quote.
$1,100 for a new 50 gallon gas-fired water heater INSTALLED.
Came back 30 mins with a new boiler, and by noon, all done.

These guys have come to my rescue not once but twice! They came the same day I called and showed up on time! They explained what needed to be done in a professional manner and fixed everything perfectly!

The best part of this is that they are very reasonable, both times they sent 3 men out to fix my problems. I am very, very happy with their service!

The first time they came it was b/c our hot water heater was leaking. Bob and his co-worker came and were great. As far as replacing a hot water heater goes, pricing was better than others. They were fast and helpful. Gave me some tips for flushing my heating system when I mentioned I had been trying to do that [with the help of youtube] to see if air in the line was my heating problem. Great tip b/c our system was different than the ones on the videos I had watched.

Unfortunately flushing still didn't work so a few months later [now that it's cold] I just had them back. Again Bob was great: kind, helpful, shared some other maintenance tips, and the price was surprisingly low. All this and now we have heat on the second floor - yay! Highly recommend these guys!

We had a crack in our sewage pipe and we had McGough, as well as a couple of other plumbers, come out to give us an estimate. Their estimate was the lowest and they said they could fit us in the soonest of all the plumbers. They did excellent work. They were very nice and polite. They left our basement much cleaner than it was when they arrived. I would recommend this company to anyone.
