Kate and Matt from McDonnell Plumbing went and above and beyond in managing what had the potential to be a major plumbing/flooding issue in my basement. When replacing a kitchen faucet, the plumber noticed that our water meter was rusted and leaking. He had to shut off the water and couldn't do any work until the town replaced the meter. Kate called the town on our behalf to expedite the installation of a new meter and Matt waited patiently while the work was being done so he could finish the kitchen faucet work. My husband and I are grateful for their expertise and professionalism. We highly

I called McDonnell Plumbing & Heating this morning, expecting to hear that I'd have to wait a day or two to have my broken pipe repaired. Instead I received an incredibly prompt response followed by excellent work.

I've owned homes for many years. Therefore, I've had occasion to deal with plumbers. By far, McDonnell Plumbing & Heating are THE BEST in the business! I'm grateful to have found them and will go no where else in the future!

Jim came by on time to repair and replace an old leaky toilet and to take care of other fall heating concerns. He was on time and professional and took care of all our neglected plumbing needs for our old house! - including ordering some new needed parts and returning in a timely manner to complete job. I appreciated the text communication from the office as well.

Years ago, Frank McDonnell spent most of a Sunday at my home dealing with a surprise sewage back up from street that suddenly occurred the night before a major family party at our house. We were always grateful to Frank for sticking it out in this emergency and taking care of us.

I just wanted to say what a great experience we had with McDonnell plumbing They are always prompt and professional. Jim has come on a few occasions for clogged drains but most recently he came and installed our new toilet . I highly recommend McDonnell plumbing.

We had an appointment for 8am Tuesday, 12/13/16. The plumber showed up 5 1/2 hours late (at 1:30pm), did maybe an hour's worth of work, left before 4 o'clock with practically nothing done, our kitchen in shambles, and did not tell us when he would be back to finish the job. We were told to ""call his boss."" After (repeated) unanswered calls and texts to Kate, we finally got another appointment for today. The plumber once again showed up, did *maybe* an hour worth of work, and left AGAIN without finishing the job. I don't know what kind of business you are running, but we will never recommend you to anyone in the area. There is no excuse for leaving a job unfinished not once, but twice, with no promise of coming back to finish it. The absolute worst service I have ever experienced.

This company rescheduled me twice at the last minute both times, I had already taken time off from work and had a family member do the same for the 2nd rescheduling BUT the 3rd time, no one showed up, I called 3 times and no one returned my call. I was so hurt! I trusted the girl on the other end of the phone when she scheduled the appointments and I believed her when she gave me new appointment times, I worked with my manager and was able to get the time off. I even had to say no to lunch with a friend who's Dad passed away and needed me because I was ""waiting for the plumber"" for the third time. BUT to not even call back was unkind. I'm glad now that they didn't show up as I don't want unkind people in my home or around me and I certainly don't ever want to give them my hard earned money!

I choose this plumber after reading good reviews and getting recommendations on Facebook but was very disappointed.

First, I left a message about setting up a service visit and never heard back. That happens. So I figured it wasn't a big deal.

Set up a visit for Tuesday morning at 8:15 am. Since the shower was what needed fixing, no one in the house was allowed to shower until after the plumber came. At 8:30 - no call, no plumber. 8:45 - same thing. I finally called and left a message. No one called me back. I called again and the person said that they would research and get back to me. No call back. Now it is getting closer to 9:15 and my husband and I need to shower and get to work. I called again and the person said that one plumber was sick and one was handling an emergency. She was apologetic and we set up another time for them to come - the following Thursday at 8 am.

So now it is Thursday at 9:30 am and no plumber has shown up and no one has called to say they would be delayed. Again I have stayed home from work and have been waiting to shower.

I understand that emergencies come up. But the lack of a phone call when people are waiting is just horrible customer service.

I was expecting a call back and again after subsequently calling again and receiving no response that is what prompted me to write this review.

I said that I needed to get a quote before finishing the project to make sure that I could do it on the budget I was on. Feel free to contact me and we can schedule an appointment if you are less busy now and are still interested in the work.

When we bought our home in Needham the heating system was very outdated and the clunky radiators in every room were not to our liking. Frank and his guys removed all the radiators and replaced them with baseboard heat in the entire house and did so in a very timely fashion. Frank and his guys were all very courteous and a pleasure to work with. I would have no problem using them for my plumbing needs in the future and would recommend them to anyone.
