Buyer beware.

I am the second owner of a three and a half year old house that this company worked on. One of the bathrooms' bath tub had rarely ever been used until recently. After a few months of use we noticed a faint strange odor which we could not pinpoint except that it was confined to that bathroom. I called a plumber to see if there was a problem and I was shocked at what he found. Apparently, while McDermott plumbing was installing the tub, they forgot to connect it to the lines going to the sewer system. All those baths were just dumping water into the crawl space. There was literally a pool of bath water that had been sitting stagnant for months. It cost several hundred dollars to pump it out, repair the plumbing and reline the ground of the crawl space.

Now, everyone makes mistakes but it's how we handle them that makes all the difference in the world. Unfortunately, this company (Travis) has chosen to not do anything but ignore my attempts to reach out. I got his name from the original homeowner and called him. He initially apologized and asked to see the bill. I simply asked that he ""help make it right"" as best he could. He stated he would look at the bill, call the other plumber and get back to me. I have not heard back for months now.

Travis does not stand behind his company's work and that should be a huge red flag to any potential customers. I would have left zero stars but yelp would not let me.

By the way, Dave from RENEW PLUMBING was fantastic and within two days he repaired the mess and corrected the poor workmanship left by McDermott plumbing. Five stars for renew plumbing as their price was fair and work was quick and precise.

I had McDermott Plumbing install a KrystalPure water softener. They did a competent job - one leak after they left that I was able to fix, and the softener did not operate properly, but I was able to work with the factory to reprogram it correctly.
I would recommend using McDermott if other plumbers in your area are not available, but be sure to get a written quote for the price prior to the job - he brought a helper and charged $178 per hour, including generous commute time, so my price came in quite a bit higher than expected.
The KrystalPure water softener is great.

McDermott Plumbing did a great job on our various plumbing issues. Ken worked fast, was knowledgeable and friendly, and had all the right equipment on hand to get the job done. He cleaned everything up and made sure it was all working perfectly before he left.
