David McCoy founded McCoy's Heating and Air, Inc. in 1981. A native of Jackson, David grew up in the West Jackson neighborhood. During his senior year of high school, he began working part-time for a local plumbing contractor. He soon recognized that this was the profession for him. He found it exciting to crawl under homes and repair systems, and the pay was good. People often remember his big service truck, which featured bold lettering. The phrase ""The Real McCoy's Heating and Air Conditioning"" was displayed prominently on both sides. His rivals would joke about the truck, yet it left a memorable mark. Today, boasting over 60 employees, McCoy's Heating and Air, Inc. is known for delivering top-notch service across West Tennessee.

Born and raised in Jackson, Lanier is a local resident. He is married to David McCoy's daughter and is devoted to keeping McCoy's Heating & Air a family business. His mission is to maintain its local ownership and operation in Jackson.
