David McCoy founded McCoy's Heating and Air, Inc. in 1981. A native of Jackson, David grew up in the West Jackson neighborhood. In high school, he worked part-time for a plumbing contractor in the area. He quickly discovered that this was the career path he wanted. He found it exciting to crawl under homes and repair systems, and the pay was good. Many still recall his large service vehicle adorned with distinctive lettering. Both sides of the truck showcased the phrase ""The Real McCoy's Heating and Air Conditioning."" His rivals would joke about the truck, yet it left a memorable mark. Years later, with a team of over 60 employees, McCoy's Heating and Air, Inc. is recognized for its exceptional service throughout West Tennessee.

Lanier, a Jackson native, was raised in this community. Married to David McCoy's daughter, he is committed to maintaining McCoy's Heating & Air as a family-owned enterprise. His mission is to maintain its local ownership and operation in Jackson.
