Our hot water thermostat went out and needed replaced. While he answered the phone right away and was quick to get over and fix our issue, we were charged over $200 more than what the part actually costs. I called around and for that same part which was in stock at a local plumbing store, the price was $110. It's $50 online. We were charged $345 by McCann Plumbing just for the part. I understand having to pay a bit more for the convenience of having a part in stock/on hand, but I feel a $230 markup is a bit excessive. I also wish he had called to ask/tell me the cost before he installed it. But he didn't. My advice to fellow homeowners - find someone more trustworthy.

McCann responded quickly to an emergency for a leaky pipe that was draining through floor and around electrical lines. He fit me in on the day of call, when six other companies told me they could not see me for 3-4 weeks. He explained the process, went above and beyond fixing the leak to take care of things until I can get an appliance replaced. He was courteous, cleaned up after himself and offered some suggestions for appliances during this time when it is hard to find items. I will use McCann in the future and definitely recommend their services.

We had a connection bust in our water softener which meant we had to have someone turn off the water while we were out of town. I called McCann's and the gentleman I spoke with coached us by phone so we could get the water turned back on. He then suggested we get a replacement part from the water softener company to fix it ourselves. Bottom line: huge kudos to McCann's for going above and beyond to help us, even though it meant no payment to them!

To start with they were very helpful giving information to decide what size water heater to go with. Also made appointment and was right on time. Did a great job and finished up the install. I would highly recommend them to others.

I am out of state and the tenant at my property reported leaking pipes from the walls. Don went over right away and accessed the situation and he could have easily started opening walls and doing all sorts of repairs. He did not. The service was exceptional and the bill was way less than I expected! It is hard to find the high level of honesty and work ethic that I experienced with McCann. They found the problem, fixed it, and the bill was less than expected. Professional, nice, got the job done, affordable. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.
