I continue to use McBride Plumbing and Heating for their consistent reliability, efficiency and excellent workmanship. When I call for a request for service, usually an emergency, Terri and Morgan are extremely polite and are able to schedule an appointment immediately. Their service technicians are on time, mindful that they're working in an occupied home, skilled and efficient to remedy the problems. I've used McBride for repairing / replacing toilets, faucets, installing an outdoor shower and trouble shooting my gas fired hot water baseboard heating system and central air conditioning system.
I'm a general contractor in another state and I believe their pricing for their services is competitive.

I hired this company to hook up a faucet/garbage disposal in my kitchen sink. We had the countertop replaced and that company was unable to do the plumbing. We were unable to be there when the repair was done but a job that should have taken 1 hour or generously 2 hours took 4.25 hours. I spoke to the head of maintenance at our building who was familiar with the job and he thought the charges were outrageous. I described the needed repair to a plumber who works in another geographic location and he told me I was being ripped off. Worse yet, when we returned to our place after about 1 month the spray nozzle wasn't working and there was water leaking from the faucet. I called them to come back to complete the job correctly. They did but proceeded to charge me again for the a job that I had been overcharged for the first time. Just because their gps tracker indicates a plumber is at a location doesn't mean they are actually working to resolve a problem. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. If you have plumbing needs I would recommend looking elsewhere

McBride came to fix my tankless water heater. After telling me they had to order a part, I received a phone call with a quote of $400-$500 to replace the sensor. I said that was fine. They came back to replace sensor. The repairman said he broke something during the repair and thinks he has to order another part. I received an additional phone call asking for our model # of heater so they could order the part, but then they never came back and said I didn't need the other part they ordered?? (very confused on that). I received a bill of $796 (about $300 more than the quote). I am refusing to pay over what was quoted. Update: Now they are saying I hung up on receptionist. That didn't happen either. I was getting nowhere with her, asked to speak w/ owner and she said he would not be taking the call. What kind of business is this?

Absolutely the most honorable and efficient plumbing company around. The workers are the best. The price for the job they did was over the top. I was given so many outrageous quotes by other companies, it was unbelievable. If you want quality work at a affordable price. McBride & company are the best.

Have used Tim McBride Plumbing for a few small jobs - toilet replacement, toilet base leak fix (different toilet), and they have done a good job both times. Had what I thought might be a corroded shower drain in the master bath. Called McBride, the plumber came and took a look - said there was no problem to fix, it was only accumulated scale and debris. No charge. They could have easily made up a repair that wasn't needed but were honest about it. That's why they will always get my call in the future.

I called them for an estimate tocut off gas to convert the top floor of my duplex from gas to electric, because they were on SJ Gas' list of approved vendors. The estimate was $2200. I hired them and when they were almost finished they said some work in the kitchen was more complicated than they thought and it would be more money. They could not estimate the amount because they ""had to see when they got in there"". My house was torn apart and delays were holding up electricians who were installing baseboard heating, so I said ok. They finished the work fine, I have no complaints about that. But when I got the bill, they hit me with a whopping additional $1800. I wrote them an email telling them I felt they had done a bait and switch and they never answered it. I paid the bill that was almost twice the original estimate, but would never use them again.
