These guys saved us when our sewer line collapsed just before the holidays. They set aside other jobs and gave us first priority. Although it was expensive (to be expected given the magnitude), we were so grateful that they got things back to normal in a few days.

Although the job was performed adequately, I in no way feel the price was reasonable; in fact, I feel majorly ripped off. I was led to believe the quote was high because the job was going to take a long time (hence higher labor costs). What I was expecting to be an all day job took less than an hour and a half to complete, including clean up. I definitely recommend getting quotes from multiple plumbers. I hired Maxxcal because the reviews indicated they were honest and reasonable. IMHO, they were extremely expensive. Caveat emptor!

I looked up Maxxcal on Yelp and called around 9:30am on a Monday morning with a plumbing emergency. I spoke to Max on the phone who was super helpful and ended up changing his schedule around to come over at 11am. He's not only a true professional, but a friendly and funny guy. I enjoyed hanging out with him talking about his kids, SF, hot water heaters, etc while he fixed the problem. This was my first experience ever needing to call a plumber and I was completely happy with the outcome. His prices were reasonable for the service provided, I was happy to pay for good honest work.
