Worst plumbing company I ever used.
Totally unresponsive Terrible communication

It took three calls (no return calls) to get them to come out. When they finally did, the plumber went under my house, then left without even telling me he was leaving.

A call to the company verified he'd be back the next day with a part.

Five calls and a month later he came back unannounced, then left without telling me again. Didn't fix the repair though because he claimed I already fixed it???

The dispatcher admitted it's a common complaint and "" it's two 65 year old guys who never communicate with them either""


I would never recommend them to anybody.

Great service! Very helpful and friendly. They fixed the main problem super quickly and even helped me install a new shower head. I would recommend them to anyone!

Whatever you do, don't call McDermott plumbing or pumping. We scheduled an appointment a week in advance for septic pumping and 2 other minor plumbing problems. It ended up I needed to be away in the afternoon of the day they were coming out. I called at 8 in the morning to confirm what time they would be able to come out. They had no idea and complained that they are given a list of 30 jobs to go to and can't give me a time. So, I said lets just reschedule the plumbing fixes until Monday and asked if that would be better for them. He said probably, and I then asked if they could schedule me as one of the first appointments in the morning, again was told about the list of 30 jobs to do so couldn't tell me a time. The next thing I heard on Monday morning was that they would be out before 9, I called them and said that was fine but I wouldn't be home until 8:45 if they were planning on coming out earlier than that.
Here I am and it is 10:30. So I called again and asked where they were, they were very confused and said I told them not to come before 8:45!?! I said yes, but I still wanted you to come at 9, I was being courteous and telling you I wouldn't be home before 8:45.
The guy got very condescending and somewhat antagonistic and said I will call him and see if he can get back to you!!! So it is now 1/2 an hour later and, surprise, still hasn't called me back.
By the way the septic guy did show up on Friday, but he was supposed to call before he came so I could have someone let him in the backyard. Surprise, he never called either. I guess they are sooooo busy they don't need my business. Good luck!!!

Outstanding service. Professional and did outstanding work. Not only were they responsive, they took the time to solve my plumbing issue which was not easy.

Very prepared and knowledgeable. I was not referred just got lucky to find honest, hard working company. I would highly recommend.

I also used them for Septic pumping and was very pleased and happy. Right on time and took the time to do a good job. I will definitely use them again.

Sean and Peggy were very helpful and responsive and Sean is the type who seems to go above and beyond from a customer service perspective. We had them check out a couple of options for waterless and regular heaters, they ordered and installed the water heater quickly! Would definitely recommend them for plumbing.

McDermott Plumbing is great. We've used them for 20 plus years. Sure sometimes it takes a little longer to see them, but they are dealing with emergencies, and they take priority over getting your septic pumped. Sorry but that's reality. They're great guys who work hard.

I was disappointed with the outcome. I had an exterior leak and they came out quite quickly to repair. While I had them at the house I also had them repair a running toilet. The toilet still runs and the exterior leak still leaks (not as bad as before but a tiny trickle). I called twice to ask them to come back out. I had already paid them. They have not come back to fix their work. I won't be using them again. Back to my old trusty plumber Dan that I should have stuck with.

I am surprised by some of the other reviews on here. I had always used A&B plumbing in the past for my septic. After finding McDermott, I will never go back. Their prices are more reasonable and they are more honest. I did have a scheduling problem once when I had an emergency, but it got worked out.

This has to be the worst plumber we have ever encountered. Came out for a clogged pipe outside and we ended up with a hole and the plumber stating he could not help. Unbelievable.
