Recommended Customer Reviews
Given the promising referral and start of work in my DC condo, and especially considering the other favorable reviews, I am sorry to have to share my unfortunate experience with Matt and MBS.
Six months ago, MBS came to my unit and efficiently inspected my HVAC and water heater. Then they agreed to replace my broken bathroom exhaust fan and took it away to help them order the right one which was to be installed later. This is where maybe they got in over their heads. After six months of text messages and phone conversations, they're now ghosting me!? Messages left with the office and texts to Matt's cell get no reply.
At this point, I'll be lucky to get the fan back. Very sad. They could have just apologized and said they're now too busy or short-handed. Maybe they should stop taking clients in DC, and stay closer to home.
Proceed at your own risk. I know COVID's a b--ch, and there have been staffing issues. But none of that explains this sad impasse.
Honest, knowledgeable, prompt, reasonable and trustworthy. Lou did a great job, and always leaves me feeling like I don't have anything to worry about.
And that's what I need... not to have to worry about this type of problem!
Honestly, I never write reviews but Matt and Lou were so amazing I had to let people know. MBS changed out my old water heater and in the process made sure I was comfortable with all of the valves, how things worked, answered all my questions thoroughly etc. They were patient, helpful, and just really nice. Wonderful service - can't say enough good things about them!
Steph T.Jack S. was phenomenal to work with when I needed to replace my HVAC! I highly recommend him and MBS Mechanical.
Warren S.Cannot say enough great things about Matt and his team. He is friendly, honest and incredibly knowledgeable. I was initially referred to Matt by my former HVAC company when we moved out of their area (from the Washington DC burbs to the Baltimore burbs). I have him to our house 1-2 times per year for maintenance and discussions as to whether it's time to replace our systems (two zones: furnace-A/C and heat pump). He could have told me on his very first visit that we needed to drop lots of money for new systems (they are original, more than 20 years old). Instead we discussed options and he told me that he could probably keep them running for a few years with minimal maintenance, and then at some point we'll have to replace them. So far so good. If you have issues, contact him. You will not go wrong.
