they came and installed a new water heater they left a mess water everywhere didn't even turn on the unit when they left. I called the owner he was super rude and even told me I was an idiot. I asked him to finish the job he was rude and told me to have another company come out and pretty much do it. so we did and they took the vent off they installed pulled out a little bird nest and now it works perfect. I was asked why they didn't inspect it before they installed it and just put on a new pipe when it was such an easy fix so beware of this company

Toilet clogged for 2nd time in a week. Second time was on a Friday evening and HomeServe was trying to find someone to come out on the weekend. The previous plumbing co., Geisel, would not come out even though they Unclogged it the first time, I only have one bathroom, only lasted a week! Mays was contacted Saturday morning and came out within several hours, thankfully!! They took care of the clog in a couple hours and determined the root cause of the problem. They called me a few days later and advised they were coming out to do a permanent fix by replacing clay pipe with vinyl to match up and avoid breaking clay causing clogs. I appreciate their ethic and so glad I have HomeServe, work costs nothing out of pocket.

After replacing our hot water tank,we had a gas leak.The technician did not bother securing gas connection to the hot water tank.
Very unprofessional on the phone & told me ""what do you want me to do about it""
Dominion fixed the leak & felt that the job done by Mayes & Sons was less than Amateur work.
I am glad the gas leak did not cause a problem,please avoid this company at all cost.

My water heater was 20+ years old and I noticed it was starting to leak and was all rusty on the top, as well as not putting enough hot water out for showers and baths. Mayes and Sons came to the rescue the same day and evaluated it, they were able to switch it out the next day! Super quick, super knowledgeable, and super friendly technicians! We have HomeServe (best home investment) and we had Mayes & Sons come out for a backup in my kitchen. Colin was our guy, super professional and helpful. Called before he came and gave me an accurate ETA which I appreciate because I had to be to work after he left. Would I use again, definitely. Figured out my issue quickly and handled it with ease.
