Tasha W.The technician (in the video below) that was sent to my home did not follow COVID protocols. He was VERY unprofessional, body language was threatening, and he was argumentative. He was sent to me by American Home Shield Warranty. BEWARE OF BOTH COMPANIES!!!!

I have American Home Shield and they used T Mayes to repair my Water Heater. The first visit was on 10/5/21. The tech came to my home relit the pilot light which only stayed lit for 9 -10 days. I called them back out it took about a week to get someone back out. On 10/22/21 when the tech arrived he was supposed to call 30 mins prior to his arrival but only allow 17 mins. He walked in looked at the water heater and said there is a part that needs to be ordered. He didn't offer a call back to provide any status on the part as to when or how long it would take to receive the part. I called American Home Shield several times now this is going a month with No Hot Water. I have left several messages for Tmayes and have not received a call back till this day. I've had American Home Shield call them with no success besides speaking with a rep by the name of Vicky that could not tell them if the part has been ordered or not. This is very unacceptable and service is horrible.
This company was assigned by AHS to review a leak in our bathroom faucet and our non-working sum pump. The technician they sent indicated at the outset that he was here just to do a diagnostic not address any problem. He saw no leak although the cabinet floor was wet and water dripping. For the sum pump he reached out to the sediments and some the rocks in the sum pump bassin and "" concluded"" that this was the reason for the 30 years old sum pump not working. He spend more time taking pictures of the rocks and sediments. Left the sum pump bassin open. The technician is a perfect example of careless, rude and unprofessional worker. They do damage to their own company and to the warranty service that employ them. Hope this review will help this and other companies monitor the behavior of their staff as they interact with customers.
AP A.American Home Shield, our home warranty company, contracts with Mayes for plumbing issues. I was a little hesitant to use them after reading some of the reviews and was tempted to hire a plumbing company outside of the AHS coverage, but I'm glad I didn't. Mayes responded promptly - they sent a Robert the day following our call and he was wonderful. Professional, efficient, knowledgeable and very pleasant to interact with. He went above and beyond, advising us on other potential plumbing problems and de-clogging our sink and tub, as well as correctly diagnosing and quickly fixing the issue that had prompted our call (a pipe leak above our kitchen ceiling that turned out to be from a toilet pipe). He took great care to protect our home (bringing towels, a sheet to put under his ladder when cutting the ceiling and working on the pipe, shoe protectors while inside the house, a mask, etc.) He also explained the process before doing anything irreversible, for example letting us know before he cut into our ceiling that he would call the company they work with to come out and repair any holes he makes. He impressed me a hard worker and great multi-tasker (he was even able to take a call while working on our pipe and offering advice over the phone for a different issue). I won't hesitate to use Mayes again, and will make sure to ask for Robert if he's available.
Paul R.I had multiple issues (slow sink drain and a slow leak in an upstairs bathroom) that I had to work through with my AHS homeowner warranty. While it took several visits (the warranty approval process slowed things up) - eventually both issues were resolved. Tyler, the tech/plumber assigned to my claim, was ALWAYS very polite and professional - while my issue wasn't resolved immediately - he and T Mayes company continued to work with me to get things taken care of. I'm surprised at some of the negative issues - but suspect they are more driven by the hoops this contractor had to jump through to comply with the homeowner warranty. I'm very satisfied with the level of service this company supplied - and happy that both plumbing issues are now resolved. Thanks Tyler and Team!
Celeste O.Very unprofessional! If I could give them a zero I would. Our warranty company sent a technician who was combative about wearing a mask and refused to cover his shoes or take off his boots.
I would have given 0 stars if it were possible. I have had a problem everytime I have had to deal with them due to a warranty contract. I'm not even going to get into the details. That would take too long. But suffice to say, this company is deceitful, they lie, and employ very rude support staff. If you are absolutely forced to work with them and a young slender kid in his 20's shows up, slam the door in his face. He will saunter in and spend 5 minutes looking at the problem and 'determine' the diagnosis. This kid should have his license revoked. IF he even has one. He did this to me, then NEVER submitted the paperwork to AHS.Tell AHS you do not want to work with them and AHS is required to find another contractor.
They lie about their work that they did, but really didn't do and they also try and swindle money from their customers, creating work, that is not needed.
My instant hot water dispenser stopped working and AHS assigned the work to this company. The technician they sent did not exercise any effort to find the real cause of the problem or to try to repair it. He complained about how tight the area the hot water dispenser is located in. He went on, unprofessionally and inaccurately to report the issue as a clogging in the faucet part of the dispenser, and that is based on pure speculation. AHS held on to that and denied the request for replacement stating that they cover damages that are only due to wear and tear. The unprofessionalism of this company lead me to request a second opinion, waste precious time over multiple phone calls with AHS, wait a week for another plumber to come in. I would never work with this company again and do not recommend them to anyone
Miko W.We were assigned this plumber through American Home Shield. The plumber originally came to address a leak in our master shower, he took a ""look"" literally and said it was a ""grouting issue"" and told us it wasn't covered and immediately reported this diagnosis to AHS who told us to find a handy man...we disagreed being the wall was leaking downstairs...so we asked for a recall, which took some convincing but the plumber came again..cut holes in our ceiling and said that our pipe to your shower pan needed to be replaced but he could not repair due to the air duct being in the way...or we can hire someone to fix it...by way of the shower pan but again its not covered...So we opt to remove the air duct which we did...the 3rd week approaching we called for two weeks straight to finally be told they could not do the work but the shower pan needs to be replaced not the pipe... We have holes in our ceiling with 3 diagnoses from this company... It's grout...It's your pipe, now it's the shower pan. THEY DO NOT WANT TO WORK!!.. if AHS assigns you this company..ASK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY... Look at their reviews...they are terrible, unprofessional, and a nightmare to work with. They don't care about your situation or care to fix it. They are incompetent, the staff is rude and it's truly a shame because the manager I spoke with seemed to genuinely want to help us at first. They appear to be overwhelmed and under staffed with poorly trained plumbers. Very sad company and shame on AHS to even continue to refer this company with all these compliants. I have elevated my compliant to the upper management with AHS and the Better Business Bureau. Good Luck with this unfortunate company. I will never work with them again... Do they even do work?! Terrible
