Gave us 3 different times. Stayed home all day for an 8-12 appt. Came at 4:47pm. Will NEVER use again.

My technician Scott admitted to improperly installing my unit. He had to reopen a service account and then no showed three appointments. 1.5 months later he showed up said their was pest damage to the HVAC lines and would not return calls or texts. His manage Daniel has NEVER returned my call or texts. I am a single father of three and cannot acclimate my home because they won't come fix their mistakes.

OMG. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I went through my warranty company (AHS) for the regular maintenance. May Heating and Air, rescheduled my appointment several times and then had the nerve to leave me a voice message stating that if I didn't return their call in 15 minutes, they would have to reschedule my appointment. I called them and asked why would they want to reschedule my appointment when you guys have changed it several times with no input from me. The lady on the other end was so rule and didn't really care. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY even If I have cancel my warranty. After reviewing the many comments, they all are pretty consistent.. Now I see why they are NOT BBB Accredited. I can't understand why any warranty company would use them. Just puzzling.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would! They never answer the phone and when they do they give no answers. I have waited 3 1/2 weeks for my AC to be repaired from their company not answering, not sending proper documents and not showing up for appointments. Absolutely worst company I have dealt with in and around the area!

My AC went out and I was referred to May heating and air through American home shield. Michael came to my house on September 13, 2023. He told that the ac and furnace weren't working because the control panel board and the blower motor were out. I was then told by one of the females in the office that the blower motor was on """"national back order"""". My furnace is under warranty so I called a Goodman dealer. He came out and checked the unit, got the control panel board and installed it. Both my furnace and air started working. I was also advised that there was NO way Michael could know the blower motor was out if the unit would not turn on!!!! Again once the panel board was installed my ac started working, so the whole blower motor thing was a LIE!!! Do not trust these people!!! They are liars & scammers!!!!!

There in the pockets of American Home Shield. As a matter of fact they decide whether your covered or not. And after you find out your not covered May will offer to fix at their price. They are the ones who tell AHS not to cover usually saying contract too new must have been pre-existing condition. Hopefully someone will be taking them both to court.

This company is a fraud, especially if you use them through your home warranty company (American Homeshield). AHS sent May out for a leaking evaporator coil. If I were to go through May for the repair, it would've cost $2,583 for parts and modifications the home warranty wouldn't cover. Some of these parts were marked up over 1,400%. May is trying to charge me $150 for two locking caps. These can be found on Amazon for $10, and even cheaper through a supply warehouse. $200 to modify ductwork (wasn't needed, my own contractor already did the repair). $120 for a line set (wasn't needed). $350 for mastic seal (wasn't needed). and $1,638 for 14 lbs of freon. My system doesn't even hold 14 lbs of freon. It holds 12 lbs + whatever is in the line (definitely not 2 lbs) So, May is attempting to charge me $2,583 and that doesn't even include what they're charging the home warranty company for the coil itself plus labor. My personal contractor did the entire job for $1,750.

After 3 weeks of no air American Homesheild scheduled them to come replace the compressor and they never showed up.

I wouldn't recommend this company or AHS they are both a rip off. after reading the bad reviews my story sounds exactly like theirs... waited for a month on apart, started out the tech chris came to my house with smart mouth making racial remarks. Then the part took a month eventually NO tech never shown up after my husband and I had to take off our jobs waitin...... but they want $500! I'm reporting this company and AHS. I'm going to make it known toas many people as possible don't waste their money on these two sorry unprofessional rip offs. I'm taking it CNN! Im Going to make sure they are well know for bad service

Awful customer service. Never ever use this company. Company excuses technician's bad customer service practices. I think people are supposed to accept horrible service. Will tell you of your air conditioning system is mechanically working nothing is wrong with it. Basically if the fan is moving and it's not cooling, nothing is wrong with it. It probably needs the coils clean or your air filter is dirty. Scam you for additional costs. Then tell you it's probably your house installation.
