I believe this is the first one-star review I have ever written on this site. This company has technicians who are either incredibly incompetent or complete cons--I am leaning toward con men. I was assigned them through American Home Shield and my experience was so horrible I am strongly leaning toward dropping American Home Shield altogether. My furnace was short cycling right at the time of year it was starting to get cold. One of the techs was wearing a mask that made a political statement on it, so I was feeling uneasy about them the moment they walked in the door. The experience went downhill from there. The service techs looked at the furnace and diagnosed the problem as a bad control board. They said they would call back when they got the part in. I waited a week for the call back and was livid when I checked the status of the order with AHS and found that May Heating had closed out the work order. AHS called May Heating while on the phone with me, who told them they had ordered the part and it would be in the following week. Waited ANOTHER week only to get notified by AHS that they were denying the claim. May Heating had claimed the control board issue was caused by a leaking pipe and therefore AHS wouldn't cover it. I then paid another copay to the warranty company to have a plumber sent out to fix the alleged leak. Turns out the leak was not coming from a pipe but the furnace itself. The PLUMBER was easily able to diagnose the problem as a backed up condenser line. When I was showed the pics, the issue was clear as day and there was no way anyone could have messed that up, even someone with no knowledge of HVAC systems. I suspect May Heating was either scamming the warranty company or for whatever reason was deliberately trying to cause us inconvenience due to their political stances. AHS sent out another HVAC tech who diagnosed and fixed the HVAC in under 30 minutes. Because of May Heating my family was without heat for nearly three weeks and I had to pay an extra $75 deductible, which AHS is in the process of refunding. If you have a choice, I would not let this contractor set foot on my property.

If I can put in no stars, I would; they are very unprofessional. I originally had AHS (American Home Sheild) assign the work order to this company in August of 2020. Today, as of November 3, 2020, I still have not received a call, email, or letter letting me know if I needed to pay out of pocket. The lady on the phone with May Heating and Air was telling me not to get upset. Wow, if you had to wait for three months to get your ac fix. You would understand why I'm upset and yelling. So I have to be sweet and dandy on the phone for their mistake for real. Originally the Tech was either fired or left the company and did not tell them that I needed apart. So May heating and Air sent out another tech. That Tech again went on vacation and did not tell them also. So when I called May Heating and Air. They had to send out another tech. Today I just found out I had to pay 686.00 for the refrigerant.

Can you believe that a company REFUSED our business because the OWNER decided to be childish and petty?? Well that's exactly what happened today. Instead of calling us to get the specifics of the situation- a situation that involved us paying them $1400 for a service- the OWNER says, through the dispatch, that """"he will not work with us because he feels we went behind his back"""". All because we were trying to cover all of our basis and get as much information as possible from our warranty company, before moving forward with a decision. They must have business galore in the middle of a pandemic to be able to operate in such a disgustingly petty fashion. Do not go to them if you are looking for a company run by adults and not one OWNED by a person who has the childish temperament of a 5yr old- perceived insult and all. OWNER, have the balls to get on the phone and tell it DIRECTLY to the customer the next time you decide to have a colossal hissy fit.

Been waiting since last week to get my heater fixed for this upcoming cold weather! Have a confirmed Appt for 12-4pm. Contractor calls at 2:36pm...I'm on a work call didn't know it was the contractor - said Spam Likely! Call him afterwards only to find out that he is no longer stopping by! Huh?!?! I had an appt! Now it's if I don't answer within 15 mins, you don't come?!? I have a 4hr block and you have 15 mins. And the lady who mans the phones is just as bad. 0 customer service. He left the area your bad! Yeah right. Look elsewhere...you have been warned!!

This is a horrible business! American Home Shield should consider rethinking this contract. They came out and stated that two major things needed repair totaling almost 1000.00 for out of pocket cost. Days went by after the repair was authorized before they even called to schedule(they were made aware we were selling the home and closing soon). After well over a week of waiting, they call less than 2 hours away from the scheduled appointment time to say the Tech was at the warehouse and there is no part to make the repair. Did I mention they wanted cash and no check??? There was no remorse or concern that they waited until they day of our appointment to """"check on the part."""" Thank goodness we found a real HVAC company that found the real issue for over 300.00 less! Don't waste your time with this place there clearly needs to be Customer Service training!

I had an unbelievably BAD experience with May Heating and Air, They were dispatched to my home by American Home Shield , The tech stayed at my home a total of fifteen minutes and concluded that my home A/C needed over $2,000 (out of pocket) worth of repair. I called Home Shield and requested a second opinion which resulted in things being no where near as dire as MAY HEATING AND AIR made it out to be. $600 (out of pocket) for repairs. I believe the tech was dishonest and elevated the work order to make a quick buck for work that was not needed. AVOID THIS ORGANIZATION AT ALL COST! Once you have a breach of integrity, there is no way to make it up. PERIOD!!!!!!

Terrible company. Not thorough and Chris the technician was very rushed and not helpful. Don't go with this company.

Avoid if at all possible. Filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and took a few months to respond (filed 05/16/2020 and response came 07/24/2020). Basically, they did not properly set up the air compressor in a brand new unit. They set this up in January. When time came to turn AC on, there was nothing. I called them to ask what could be happening since they installed it. They told me to file a claim with home warranty, otherwise they were not doing anything. Had to file a new home warranty claim and took 6 weeks to have it finally finished. They called three times on 07/24, all right in a row, left no voicemail, and claimed they tried to contact multiple times to BBB. Their technicians no called/no showed multiple 4 hour window appointments and their office manager was not happy (with us) when we asked what was going on with this. If you possibly can, just avoid them and save yourself the headache.

The absolute worst Air and Heating company you can call. They will try to replace every part on your A.C as they never diagnose the true problem. You will end up calling them several times to come out and have to wait a week between each service call. They book their technicians schedule weeks in advance with warranty calls from American Home Shield and will make you wait for a return service call and charge you a $79.00 fee. Poor customer service and sorry technicians that will not properly repair your unit. They should not be in business.

I told the tech what was going on ; all he did was put batteries in the thermostat. States he went to the attic and changed the wiring out. I don't believe him. I took off from work to sit home from 1200 to 400 and he showed up at 530pm. Unbelievable! Now I have to use up another 4 hours of sick time. I'm a single mom of a child with health issues that needs to save my time for him. What a disgrace. Once this is fixed. I'm switching Home Owners. Customer service seemed non empathetic of my situation. I don't feel confident with them coming out a second.... Failures and incompetent!!!!! I told him my ac is blowing out hot air. He was worried about getting home to his family. Someone mentioned the owner is a veteran. I'm a veteran too. That has nothing to do with anything if you hire incompetent techs.
