I have AHS, and they sent May Heating and Air to look at my issues with my HVAC unit. On Sept. 30, 2022, I filed a claim on AHS for a service. On Oct. 3rd, the technician JT OConnor came to my house and said the air handler would need to be replaced. He also said that, within 24 hours, I would get a notification about setting a date and time for installation. This did not happen. On Oct. 13th, I called for an update, but there was none. I called again on Oct. 24th, and no update again. I called on Oct. 26th, and no update again. On Nov. 4th, I called, and they replied that the air handler was not on order yet. She then fixed the issue and placed it on order. on Nov. 14th, I called for an update, and they said they were waiting on AHS to fund and supply the equipment. On Nov. 21st, I called AHS to see if they could tell me the status of the air handler and if there was anything I needed to do. They said the air handler was ready for pick up on Nov. 5th. On Nov. 23rd, I called May Heating and Air again; ONeil, the employee I talked to, said that she would call AHS directly and figure out the issue, and then she would call me back. I did NOT receive a callback. On December 9th, I called them again, and ONeil was the employee I talked to again. She then said that she would have to call AHS back, but in the middle of our conversation, she hung up on me. This company is extremely unprofessional with how they handle business. I do not recommend their service to anyone. If AHS could remove them from the businesses they work with, that would be great.

If I could give this company a -5 stars I would. HORRIBLE company!!! The technician broke my attic door and said he probably did and to put some glorilla glue on it. I call the company and now Karlos is saying he didn't do it. I dont go in my attic and before he came it was not broke. Now he does not want to admit it. Sad shame you can hire people that lie on customers. That's horrible business. How can I even recommend them. The service technician came to my residence. He inspected and took out the filter upstairs and took a photo of it. He then pulled the attic door by the string and walked up the stairs to the attic. He left the attic door open and went downstairs and removed the filter. He took a picture of that too. The problem for which he came out was because there was perspiration on my daughters wall in her bedroom. He said it was PROBABLY the filters that needed changing. He then went to the outside of the house where the two units were and checked them. He said one of them needed 3 lbs of air whatever you call it He then said he was getting ready to go. I said aren't you going to close the attic door, he said oh yes. He told me to go into my kitchen and sign his paperwork. So I said I'll go upstairs with you. So I followed him upstairs. When he pushed the attic door back up, I noticed it was cracked and had a space opening on the side. I said hey what happened there, he said oh. I said you broke it because it wasn't broken before you opened it and went up the ladder. He said I probably did break it. He then told me, a 72 yr old woman that I could get some gorilla glue and glue it back together. I said will that work, he said yes. You can glue anything with gorilla glue. Me not knowing, when my son came home. He asked me what happened to the attic door. I told him. My son said gorilla glue won't fix that. He then called and talked to someone supposedly a manager. The manager said he would take care of it. Days went by and I never heard anything. So I requested to speak with a manager. The receptionist said leave a message on The managers phone which is Tara. Which I did. Still to this day, never received a reply from her. Tara I emailed you today. My fiancé Jeffrey was handling it for me because i was not happy with it. We told the other company not to come because you all needs to fix the attic. They finally came way after your tech broke it. We have left messages for Tara and she has not returned our calls. If it was like that I would not lie and put this review on here. I have no reason to lie. I've been on my job well over 20 yrs and I didn't get this far lying. I see there are lots of other reviews of people that are not happy with your service and I see BBB has you at a grade of F. I feel you should fix the problem your tech caused and he told us to put gorilla glue on it. Now why would he say that if he didn't do it. You have dishonest people working for you. It's a sad shame you all do not take accountability for your actions. You tear up people things and not make your techs accountable. What kind of company is this??? What do I gain from lying on your company? If anything I'd rave good reviews if your company did an awesome job and my issues were fixed. This is bad business and I've never worked with such a company that didn't own up to what their tech did. He knows he did it!!!! I definitely let AHS about the company they referred and let them know Mays Heating and Air is a dishonest company. I will NEVER use them again. They employ dishonest unethical people that lie. I told AHS to NEVER EVER send them to my house.

I just had a great experience with May H&A. My techs name was Mike. He came out on time, called thirty mins before. He assessed the issue very quickly, ordered the part and hopefully we will see him next week.. I'm very pleased...

It has been 2 months and some odd days since the initial visit from May Heating and Air to diagnose the problem with my AC. It took three consecutive visits for them to come out and actually find the problem which is ridiculous. They come up with an excuses as to why they haven't fixed it yet and that the part is on backorder. I have my assumptions as to what's really going on however at this point I just want my air conditioner fixed. It is the condenser coil that has to be replaced and the warranty company approved the replacement a month ago. They would have approved it sooner however May Heating and Air failed to file the claim. Worst experience ever!!!

Please do not use this company. I was appointed this company through American Home Shield. My a/c unit stopped working back in June. May Heating and Air came out and told me the compressor needed to be replaced and that they would need to order the part and would call for scheduling when ready. The insurance company was not going to pay the total amount and that I would have to pay about $1400.00 out of pocket for new refrigerant plus some other miscellaneous parts that were required by code. When I asked how long it would take they told me it would probably be in by early next week ( this was a Friday). They called me early the next week to tell me the part had arrived but that they couldn't come back out for two weeks. I was shocked when they told me I would be without a/c for that long (I live in south east Georgia and it was summer), but i figured that we had already started down this path and might as well finish it. I said ok let's do it and waited two weeks. When two weeks later the appointment came, no one showed up... So I called to find out what happened and they told me that the technician who was scheduled to do the work was out sick and they forgot to tell me no one would be coming. They then rescheduled me for another appointment two weeks later. Two weeks later comes around and the technician shows up this time and does the work and then says it should be fixed now but it will take a couple of hours to start cooling down. A couple of hours rolls around and still no a/c... So I call May Heating and Air back and tell them of the situation and with out any empathy, they tell me they will send someone back on Wednesday the week after next. When I tell them that this is unacceptable and ask for a sooner appointment as this is a call back and not a regular visit they then tell me that they will work me in for the Wednesday of this week. The next day I get a notification that says that I have been scheduled for next Thursday a week and a half later! At this point I had been without a/c for almost two months, they never even gave me a temporary a/c and it was almost August and I was miserable. I decided to just call another company to get it fixed ASAP. Apparently the whole unit was falling apart and May Heating and Airs job was to just get rid of me. I still kept the appointment but they still didn't fix it. The local company I called came in right after May Heating and Air and was a night and day difference. Three lessons I learn through this experience. Don't ever use May Heating and Air, don't buy insurance your not forced to, and if your a/c unit is over twenty years old just go ahead and get estimates for replacement.

Unfortunately American Home Shield forced us to use this company. I did leave AHS a similar review. Hopefully they will do better in the future and contract with a more reliable company. I will give a thumbs up to the first technician out to work on the a/c. He was very polite and efficient. The frustration is with the company scheduling the installation of the part. We spoke with someone different every time, each time we were assured they had the correct contact number. We had to change from the original phone number due to that person having to be gone out of state (in a different time zone). Apparently the part came in, they called the original contact number (keep in mind, a time zone 1hr behind Georgia time And this person was working night shift, so sleeping during the day). They had called, left a message which wasn't received until 4:30 pm, which is 5:30pm georgia time. So the office is closed. Also there had been a call THAT DAY to May Heating to verify again, the contact number. No problem they said. We have that number right here. We tried to schedule online through the email, picking the next day. It was canceled a short time later by May Heating. When we finally got ahold of someone about getting the a/c fixed we were rudely met with the fact that their call had not been returned therefore we would have to wait another week for the repair. Firstly, they did not call the correct number which they had assured they had on file. Secondly, we had been making frequent calls to them to check on progress. It would seem as thought departments within the company do not communicate well with each other. There is only one phone number with a labyrinth of numbers to push before you actually get to talk to someone. Not the same person every time. A/c is still not fixed a week later, which could have been fixed 3 days ago. We are now looking at 2 weeks without a/c. We do have pets at home which have been just as miserable. Keep in mind this is summer in Southern Georgia. IT'S HOT AND HUMID. We've had to purchase a window air conditioner to get us through this mess with May Heating and Air. May Heating and Air just doesn't care about the customer. I do not recommend this company for any service or repair.

there is a reason why they work directly with the warranty company. be careful about companies that refill your ac with freon because that's a temporary. always ask them to do a leak search. these scammers put freon in and with 1 week UT leaked because they never determines the cause of the true issue.

Zero Stars. I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting time and my money with this company. First they canceled my appointment the day of 30mins before tech was suppose to arrive. The next day they came out and before even looking at anything they told me what the issue was. Literally came into my house barely looked, no solutions, but my friend was able to give me solutions. With all these bad reviews you would think the company would care enough to fix the issue of their lazy employees!!! Taking peoples money with not even a suggestion or looking.

I originally called to have my A/C repaired July 19th. The repair was completed today, August 4th. That equates to 17 days without A/C during July in Georgia. Technicians came out on 3 separate occasions, and we got put at the back of the line for our next appointment after each visit that the technicians did not repair the unit. It took several calls to the service center to get the follow-up visits to happen. That is the type of service you receive from May Heating and Air.

We do not have American Home Shield and have dealt directly with May and the service has been fantastic. They kept our old unit running until we had to declare it DOA - they installed a new unit and we have not had any issues. Thanks May Heating and Air for a fantastic job!!!!
