Upon finishing his training and passing the state exam, he established his own plumbing business. He started Maxwell and Son Plumbing in the Fountain Square neighborhood, initially operating from an office on S. Shelby Street near Garfield Park. Mike established his business on fundamental principles, delivering excellent service at reasonable rates. He knew that by maintaining low overhead, he could offer skilled plumbing services at a fraction of the cost of larger firms. This principle continues to hold true in our operations today. Many who reached out to Mike became not just customers but lifelong friends, part of the family. Now, after 30 years and four sons, what began as Maxwell and Son Plumbing has transformed into Maxwell and Sons. Inspired by my grandfather and father, I realized plumbing was my calling, though my path took an unexpected turn. I started as a plumbing apprentice right after high school, then explored law enforcement before returning to plumbing school. Today, I proudly balance my roles as a police officer and a plumber. Don T.Do not use this company!!! Have a leak from an upstairs shower into a closet on the main floor. I contacted our home warranty company and they assigned Maxwell and Sons the job. They came over and looked, took the $65 service fee and I never saw them again. I had a couple of phone calls with Mike and he promised to come by and start the repairs. He was was driving at the time of our conversation and said said he would call back in a few minutes to schedule the appointment. That was 3 days ago. Unreliable company. They just took the $65 and ran from the job.
