I have employed Chris twice in the past month, once to replace a leaking water heater and the other to install a gas stove. For the broken water heater, he quoted the lowest rate out of the plumbers I called and he came out the very next day. For the gas stove installation, he braved a snowstorm to get to us first thing on the morning of his appointment. But what really sets Chris apart is his friendliness and pleasant disposition. I found Chris through Yelp and he came and installed a hybrid electric water heater for me. He picked up the water heater from the supplier, drained and hauled away the old one, put in the new one, then installed the condensation drain line as well, all in a span of a few hours. He's a nice person with a bright personality, and his work is nothing but the best! I have now enjoyed my new water heater for about a month and everything is working perfectly. His rate is also very reasonable, I compared against few others who charged a higher rate and also couldn't come out as fast. I hope to use him again in the future, highly recommended!

After a long day working in the yard, the last thing to do was water freshly transplanted plants, but my wife found the hose was too short. I got a longer hose to replace the one connected to the back of the house but the hose already connected was on tight. One pair of pliers later the whole faucet came off the wall! I rushed to the shut off valve inside to stop the flow out the pipe sticking from the side of the house. The shut off valve was broken too. I had to shut off the water to the whole house (and all my wife and I wanted to do was shower and clean up after a day in the yard).

The reason for the long story? I called no fewer than half a dozen plumbers with either no response or availability a week out. Even the so called emergency services were unavailable.

I called Maxwell Mechanical and Chris responded to my call. He was the only one who came up with a solution - while he was away for the weekend! He gave me specific instructions. Ten dollars and 30 minutes later, my pipe was capped and we were back up and running. Nobody else had a creative solution like this.

Now Chris was able to perform the full repair without it being an emergency. When he came, he was friendly, professional and courteous. He worked quickly and efficiently and clearly demonstrated confidence in his work. He also kept things clean being careful to remove all work product and failed parts. Lastly, I got the bill and was (yet again) pleasantly surprised.

I finally have the name of someone I can trust to do plumbing in my home - hopefully not under similar circumstances next time!
