Maximus is the plumber to call when the other plumbers tell you your problem can't be solved. I am so grateful to Betto and Max for having the patience to figure out the right part that was needed to mate a new pipe with my 40 year old shower pan. The last two plumbers each told me I just needed a new shower pan, which was going to cost thousands extra. Maximus showed up at 10, figured out the brand required, found the part at the plumbing store, and had a new drain fully installed by 1. They're both the most ethical and most skilled plumbers I've dealt with.

After reading the reviews it seems like Max delivers solid work. Unfortunately, I didn't experience the same quality of work with Toby.

Context: hired to recaulk the bottom of my shower and bathtub faucets for a Wed 10am appointment.

Timeline:
- 9am on that Wed received a call from front office saying that he could not come today and they asked to reschedule for tomorrow (Thurs) at 1:30pm.
- Thurs 1:30pm no one shows up.
- 2:30pm I message them asking for an update and they tell me that they are able to move the appointment later in the day closer to 5pm
- 5:15pm get a call saying that he on his way
- 5:30pm - Toby shows up at

Total cost $225 for 30 min of work (I supplied the materials so this was just for labor)

Issue:
He ended up chaulking approx 60% of the shower and only 2 of the 3 bathtub faucets. My husband ended up finishing the job after he left.

Overall, I was disappointed in the thoroughness of the work and would not recommend this plumber.

Max installed a shower valve that I had purchased. Couldn't have used more than $75 worth of copper pipe and fittings. In and out in two hours - $680. After he was gone I had to bury pipe further back in the wall before tiling and reset the valve which did not face straight forward.
I don't know what to say.

I wish I could recommend, but at least for HVAC issues I cannot. I called this Company on a Sunday and the best aspect was that he came out the same day and did not charge for his inspection of my Dad's broken furnace. However, he could only guess at the cause and told me the part was $250 (when it's on Amazon for $29) and total repair would be over $350 and no guarantee it would even fix the problem. Although I appreciate him coming out on a Sunday I felt he was more interested in selling us a new HVAC unit than fixing the current one for a reasonable price. Ultimately, repaired by another HVAC company two weeks later for less than $180 (Monteros). Wish I could give a better review. Maybe it was just a bad Sunday.

Truly amazing service. After carefully installing an Ecobee 3 Lite thermostat, which forced installation of a Power Extender Kit between the thermostat cable and the furnace control board, the furnace fan ONLY functioned but with NO fire : hence, no heat. We were hosting a dinner party of nine the next day - Sunday - and really preferred to have the house comfortable for our guests. Maximus came to our rescue, appearing promptly the next morning and quickly resolving the problem.

Max literally saved us. We were suffering whom an extremely dry air in our house, and finding a licensed pro who would install a whole-house humidifier turned out to be a challenge - most contractors don't want to work on that and even think that it's okay to schedule an estimation visit and do not show up.
Max not only managed to squeeze the humidifier unit in the hvac system (the space was super limited), but also helped us with fixing the incompetent work that the previous owner's contractors did. He had to go very creative about this project, and the result is impressive and very satisfying. It's also worth mentioning that his work is neat and esthetic as much as it could be which is so rare nowadays.
Max explained how to operate the unit, and he gave us a labor warranty which is also very nice.

Max was fantastic. He came and gave me a reasonable quote for a quality furnace. He came back (arrived on time) and did a great job replacing our old heater and making sure all the connecting parts were installed correctly. He's a local guy who is reliable and does great work, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

I asked them for a quote to fix my heating furnace. Upon coming out to my house, he found out that the problem was a very simple lockout issue that could be resolved by resetting the power. He did not charge me for this simple fix, and gave some suggestions in making the heating system more efficient. I will most likely go with them in this upgrade work.

My water heater was dying and the closet it was located in was just too small for a new equivalent sized heater (due to increased insulation requirements). I had the idea to put in a tankless unit, but it was also nearly impossible due to an un-upgradable gas line and the need for costly new metal venting through two floors.

Maximus Plumbing came to my rescue. Max was very knowledgable about the various tankless units and knew of one that would work in my situation with minimal retrofit required. It still wasn't easy but he got the job done from pulling a permit all the way through to the inspection and working with my handyman to get the walls patched afterward. Six months later and the system is still working like a charm. I recommend Maximus.
