Recommended Customer Reviews

Joey from Maverick Electric provided excellent customer service. My parents electricity went out around 8pm Saturday night, and we were concerned we possibly smelled something burning. We spoke with Joey over the phone about coming out to take a look at what was going on, but the earliest he come out would have been 10:30 Saturday night. We were very concerned about the smell , so Joey talked us through what to do to cut the power in the room with the burning smell. The steps he told us to do also turned the power back on and the smell went away. Joey went the extra mile and we appreciate his help and we won't hesitate to contact Maverick Electric again for any of our electrical needs.

I absolutely recommend Maverick electric! They helped me out after another electrician cancelled on me the last minute and fit me into their schedule. Joseph Halligan kept me informed on his arrival time and showed up on time. He was extremely professional listen to my needs and after giving me an estimate proceeded with the installation of the dining room fixture. He did a beautiful job, put the furniture back in place when he was done and I was a very happy customer! Thank you!

Professionals - but ridged and not flexible. Higher side on the pricing.
Had an emergency call for Maverick to come out to resolve a sudden power outage in two bedroom.
They charged me for an emergency same day fee of $199 which was understandable because it was same day and it was quite late.
The technician came in for 30 mins - did some test found out my two room was linked to a GFCI outlet due to how the previous owner wired the house. All he had to do was hit the red and white button on the outlet to resolve the issue and they charged me and additional $95 to hit one button, I personally think it's a little unreasonable but hey it's a service, I asked them to come out and I'll pay. But I'm sharing with y'all you'll most likely run into similar situations.
A reasonable tech would waived or just charge $25 bucks for this and I would be more than happy to pay- but they weren't willing to negotiate.
I'm sure their workman ship decent but pricing on the high side.

These guys are far from the rocket scientists they portray on the radio. Seedy tech gave a half hearted diagnosis and said I needed to replace my whole system. Uhm, no. It just needed a new valve and a fill up (under $600). Yes it's old, but doesn't need to be replaced. Dude proceeds to charge $99 for his service call, frankly wasn't worth .99 for his five minutes of effort.

We had Maverick install a new Heat and Air System, and we could not be happier with the service. Kyle came out and gave us a quote, we negotiated a bit, and it worked out. He told us about the different options, based on our home size and detail, and suggested the best overall package. He also let us know that there were great rebates for this system, so we have that to look forward to! (maybe use them for some other services with the extra $) =)
DANNY and MATT came out to do the install, and they were seriously the most professional, educated, and respectful crew one could ever ask for. Danny explained things to us in Laymans terms, so we knew exactly what they were doing, and it was A LOT. We changed our system in entirety, so they had to cut out, put in new ducting, etc. etc., and they had patience like no othere. They were super clean and were so cautious with our 'shiny and breakable' items!
Then, Joey (Emit) came out and took care of the electrical part, he was fabulous as well, and took care of everything we needed, AND then some!
Prior to leaving, when the job was complete, they cleaned everything, so it looked like they had not even been here. I told them to go, because it was late on a Friday, but they said it was their professional obligation to both teach us the system/thermostat, as well as leave everything like they found it, or better! WOW; thanks to all

Maverick wanted to charge $49 to make a sales call. I sent a detailed description with wiring schematics and photos to multiple electricians - to SAVE THEM time and money. Everyone wanted to bid on the job. And they all offered to come onsite at no charge (of course!) - all of them except Maverick.
Maverick asked me to pay them a sales quote. Unlike most companies, Maverick offered to schedule a billable appointment ($49) so one of their technicians could give me a proposal!
With so many good electricians interested in this job, I think I'll take that $49 and pay it as a tip to someone whose earned it.

DO NOT CONTACT for service, they will bombard you with texts and calls at all hours of the day. Even after you ask them to remove you. They texted me at 6:54am, I responded to remove me from their lists, then I received a call from them a few days later asking if I needed service. Cold calling before 8am is illegal. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act prohibits businesses from sending SMS marketing texts before 8am

Arrived when promised, did a quick diagnosis and a fast repair. When the repair time came in faster than their estimate they gave me a discount on the estimated cost.

All the plugs and lights in my master suite went out. When I checked the circuit breakers, I found one was off. I tried over and over to turn it back on but it would not stay on.
I called Maverick Electric the next morning and they dispatched Ace Saavedra to my home. Ace was thorough and careful and found the problem after a significant amount of testing. Once the problem was discovered, he repaired the short and put everything back the way it was. He knew what he was doing at every step of the way and was courteous and professional.
Given the amount of work that Ace did, the price was extremely fair. I strongly recommend this company. Their staff, including the reception staff and the technicians are outstanding. I will never look any further than Maverick Electric, Heating and Air for electrician services in the future.

Local radio is inundated by ""what would a Maverick do"" ads - overly emotional stories of mavericks in other lines of work like being an astronaut. I wish I was kidding but this HVAC company puts these out. So, when I needed service on an item in their area I did not even seek them out...but Yelp put them on one of my quote requests. They then responded that they don't do this service (a very common thing I was seeking). What a waste of my time. I guess that's what a Maverick does.
UPDATE: This company's radio commercials are still going strong, still sappy, still over-the-top. I had to update this review because of their latest commercial regarding their generator installs...""we don't just install generators, we TEACH generator install."" You can't make this up. I have never seen a company whose advertising is so pervasive - and yet so far from the reality of what they actually deliver.
