Matt Mauzy learned the heating and air conditioning trade from his father, Gary Mauzy. With over 20 years of experience in the heating and air conditioning sector, with a specialization in residential installations for the last 14 years.

Before assuming leadership at Mauzy, he served in various project management and technical capacities at top companies such as University Mechanical and Santiago Heating and Air Conditioning.

During his professional journey, he has overseen a variety of projects ranging from thousands of residential clients to commercial installations for clients like Blockbuster Video, Little Caesars Pizza, UC San Diego, and the US Coast Guard Base in San Diego.

We had solar, furnace, AC and tankless water heater installed by Mauzy. Right off the bat AC stopped working because lines weren't installed properly then when fixed, started leaking water all over deck because there was no consideration for drainage/plumbing correctly. There was a leak at the furnace/HVAC unit that caused water damage in garage and now to top it off SDGE was here to check for gas leak at water heater and said it wasn't even installed to code or vented properly. Every single aspect of their work and ""fixes"" were questionable and highly unprofessional. Do NOT recommend!

Mauzy came out looked at my heater, I ask for a estimate for a new motor. The Tech opened up my heater, looked at it. Put it back together and tried to sell me a new unit. I told him I just wanted a Estimate for a new motor.. He would not give me one I paid him the service call and he left. I turned on my heater and for some reason, the fan wasn't blowing air, but it worked before the Tech got there. I called mauzy and set up an appointment for the Tech to come back the next day.
The Tech was there literally 5 minutes. And by an act of God, the heater was fixed and he charged me for another service call even though he fixed whatever he did the day before to make my heater inoperable.
This guy is unprofessional and is a crook. I will never use mauzy or recommend them to anybody

Dishonest and not reputable company. Had an issue with a furnace. They recommended full replacement. Upon evaluation from another licensed professional company, there was nothing wrong with it. Just out to make the most they possible could without being honest or fair. Avoid at all costs.

I sent 4 online appointments in 3 days with no replies. I made an apology for any misunderstanding and took the blame stating they had the wrong phone # on me when I called them at 9 am the 3rd day. They were the only 1 of 5 companies wanting to charge me a diagnostic fee and did not want to give a guesstimate for the small floor vent replacement job.

I'm just reporting facts:
They have a promotion for $39 A/C tune up
We were given a timeframe between 8am-12pm
The guy finally shows up at 1:30pm
He spent about 5 min looking at the AC system
He determined the drain needed to be flushed for about $700 before he can service the unit.
So he ended up doing nothing.
We still paid $39

We had a new Lennox HVAC system installed last week and ran into a few hiccups with the system. After a few days troubleshooting they called in the Expert, Bruce Taylor. Bruce made it out to our house last night after company hours and was able to get the system up and running. I can honestly say that Bruce was definitely the expert that everyone had said he was along with being one of the most professional and courteous people I have ever had the pleasure to interact with. While I was starting to wonder what I got myself into with this system, Bruce's talents and abilities made the couple days of struggles all fade away. Thank you again Bruce, you saved the day!!!

My husband spent $15,000 on a new A/C unit yesterday. It failed in less than 24 hours because the float valves filled up, meaning they didn't flush the system like they were supposed to.
My husband called today and was told no one could be available to fix it until Tuesday. What gives?

After calling around and getting some quotes to replace the AC Capacitor on my home unit. The most I was quoted was $300. I called (Air maker HVAC was $245, Air Pro HVAC was $300 and AC sure Plan Was $255). Mauzy charged me $662 for this repair. They also did the repair prior to me knowing the cost. So work was done without consent and was double the going rate. They offered a 10% discount but I do not feel that justifies the cost. I was also told that they do not have a labor rate and charge what every they want, ""case to case"" I don't know how they came up with this number for repairs. I hope they will do the right thing and charge what the industry standard is. Why are their prices double everyone else? No very fair to the customer and not very transparent with pricing.

I scheduled an appointment with a window from 12:00
To 3:00 pm I had no follow up call letting me know that the technician was running late, I called and I was told that the technician was stuck in another location but I was next, I called at 5:00 pm and no one was at the office, the technician didn't call me to let me know the eta,they completely gost me.
