They are very rude and totally unconcerned with customers - had them put in AC and then two years later when AC stopped working on 90 degree Thursday I called and was told they would not send someone for two weeks . I called another company who came immediately and saved the day Avoid them!!!
Corey M.The biggest mistake when renovating a home we purchased was hiring Matz-Rightway in December. We paid to have two new systems put in, both with UV lights and one with a humidifier. All was fine until we switched to AC in the spring. They never installed a drain for the condensation and flooded and ruined our home. Thankfully our and their insurance is rectifying that. When they came to install the drain they then broke a coil in the unit and it stopped functioning. They then sent their ""top guy"" to repair it. It worked for a week and broke down again. They made all sorts of promises through their new manager Keith, but did nothing to follow through. We will now have the systems ripped out and redone by a company that knows what they are doing. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Made an appointment weeks ago before the heat came, now because of other people issues my appointment gets changed. I don't want to have an emergency that's why I made an appointment. Horrible way to do business. All customers are important not just contract holders.
i 'was' using them for years in montauk... they #FFXY^%D... they wanted $1325 'per unit' to detect a leak (2units leaking freon)... my local huntington guy charges 150/200 bucks per unit... will never use them again
I have been a Matz-Rightway customer for almost 15 years and at several different locations in East Hampton. I have always used them to perform the seasonal service on our AC and HVAC systems. During this time I have appreciated their high-quality and attentive service, so there was no question that, when I bought a 1890 cottage in the village, that Matz would install the AC systems for me. I have always found the office staff to be super helpful and the field technicians very knowledgeable and almost obsessive compulsive in their approach to their work. Of the techs, I know Mike F. the best and he has always been diligent in making sure we are happy with his work and if something isn't perfect, when he leaves the job, he expresses his disappointment and follows-up to make sure it is resolved to his high standards. Dedication like this is such a rare find; especially, on eastern end of Long Island.
I've heard from other people that over the summer there was significant staff turnover. Things seem back to normal now and after 15 years of building the relationship, it is really easy to overlook a temporary situation that they have worked hard to resolve.

robin k.I Have used Matz-Rightway for almost a decade. I find them to be very responsive, knowlegable & customer focused. I have a Priority Maintenance Agreement which entitles me to have my HVAC system maintained 2x/yr. I recently had a dispute regarding a spring service call that required a 2nd visit because it was too cold to check system properly. When I went to use the AC for the first time when it did get hot, the condenser was not running & it did not work. They had to send a technician , who in less than a minute reset the high pressure switch. Originally I received a bill of 146.64 for this service call. I was very upset, since this should have been resoved during the spring service call. They reviewed & cancelled the charge. I would highly recommend them, as I do to all friends, family & neighbors.
Technician Nick & all the other Technicians are very skilled, helpful & responsive. Office Manager Bali is very helpful, caring & responsive. This is a company that you can truly count upon. I have called them at 11:30 pm on a Sunday evening with a leaking heating system & had a house call & repair within an hour! High marks, kudos & gratitude to all the staff at Matz-Rightway.
Hugh L.I have used Matz for many years and previously found them to provide decent service. The company was sold to a larger company recently. I recently had them do a major job for me and they neglected to finish an element. After many many calls to them on the subject and very few returned calls, they refused to complete the work that was fully paid for. I wold never use them again.
Anna A.I respect ones opinion, But any individual with Negative thoughts regaurding Matz-Rightway has not had the pleasure of Having Mike in their Home. My past encounters with Matz have also been disappointing as most of the reviews have stated, but Mike has wiped the slate clean. He is far and beyond the most professional, intelligent, thorough, beautiful, respectful service worker that I've had in my home. Two separate technicians from two different local HVAC companies came here only to sell me parts which never resolved The issue. Don't take my word for it, ask for Mike F and have the pleasure of experiencing for yourself.

Gwendolyn B.Not having a good experience with this company. I signed up with them because I liked the salesman that showed up to sell me a heating system for my cottage. After installation he was gone from the company. I have been asking them to come by (they are right around the corner!) to show me where I can install an new hatch to the attic space for weeks now. The lady that takes my calls is obviously annoyed and bordering on rude.
I haven't even started the heating system as it has been summer, but am dreading any additional problems with these people.
Think twice about this company. It's not like they are the most affordable, either.
