Sorry to keep reiterating:new(older)home buyer-and the master bathroom water valve was found to be leaking pretty significantly my 2nd day here.Fortunately,I have a home buyer's warranty through American Home Shield-and plumbing systems are covered. This was a 1st as well:not sure what quality of service a warranty company would cover...but I couldn't manage this issue on my own.AHS made the process extremely easy:and I was contacted by Matt's Plumbing within 24 hrs. What a good/reassuring experience! The dispatcher(Monica)was extremely thorough--and I was kept in the loop re:scheduling window, etc.Jake arrived at the top of the 4 hr.timeframe I was given---amazing!He addressed my questions/issues immediately and thoroughly. There was even a communication glitch on my part with the warranty company:and when I voiced my disappointment;Jake went right to work while I called AHS with my information. In other words--he didn't just say,""""sorry,it's out of my hands.Get a new work order and I'll be back another time.""""He respected my time & understood my concerns. The warranty co. was able to approve everything quickly--but I appreciate Jake and Matt's Plumbing for having the integrity to do the right thing.Jake was extremely informative and repaired my issue(fingers crossed!)-and provided common-sense solutions for a few problems.Thank you!

I had a chrome bib installed in my bath shower since construction of the house in 2004 . The handle broke due to old age ,when their tech came he claimed that it wasn't tear and wear. I complained to this Co's owner who was very very rude and impolite , he shouldn't deal with public with that attitude . They ripped me off for $75.00. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this plumber.

Honest, thorough, courteous, and knowledgeable. These guys are THE go-to place for plumbing in the Tampa Bay area! Matt took great care of me from when he first arrived to my place. He patiently examined and explained everything and even went the extra mile by answering other general plumbing questions/concerns I had. Matt was kind, professional, and didn't unnecessarily recommend things just to make more money (he even left me with some tools to help identify/fix the issue I was having with my sink drain in case it happened again). Overall, I highly recommend Matt at Matt's Plumbing Services!

Matt was dispatched by our warranty company, American Home Shield, to fix a failed tank-less hot water heater. AHS's contractors are generally pretty awful but Matt was definitely the exception to that rule. Our repair was a bit complicated and a bit of a pain in his arse, but Matt did an awesome job of coordinating the parts and service and making multiple runs to my home to deal with the issue. In the end, Matt returned our tank-less hot water heating system to full working capacity and we were very happy with his service. We'll gladly call upon Matt directly for any issues outside of our home warranty service. Thanks again Matt and team!

Our experience with Matt's Plumbing was awful. He is the contractor for American Home Shield and we do understand that relationship... repair first, replace as a last resort. Matt responded to a no-hot water call. He replaced the heating element, but later that day our tank burst. Matt would not accept our call to come back out; we had to call AHS first, which I get, but given the circumstances, I had hoped that he would at least get us onto his schedule, while we contacted AHS. Nope. So another day went by until Matt could get there. This time he replaced the pressure regulator; aaannnnddd within 12 hours, the pressure regulator exploded and our garage was flooded and full of smoke (turned out to be steam). Matt's non-comprehensive repair to avoid replacement caused more damage than just the hotwater tank; the water damaged our brand new dryer for sure... not sure yet if we can salvage the washer. I called Matt's office asking for the work order for the second visit, since he didn't leave one, and they have yet to send it to me. I will be taking Matt's Plumbing to small claims court. We eventually went with another plumber to replace the water heater, insurance be damned... we couldn't take a chance on having this incompetent back in our home.

I have worked alongside Matt for years and he is throughly ethical and super knowledgeable about his trade. Matt's Plumbing is VERY competitive unless you are looking for a handyman trying to pass himself off as a plumber. I wish there were more companies ran by people like Matt. Give them a call when you need a plumber or have a drain backing up!

I had major draining issues, I had initially called a private company out (Your Plumber) who quoted me $5,000 and the need to redo all my pipes. Matt's was sent out by my home warranty, and Matt was able to find my actual issue, which wasn't covered but he saved me from being scammed to redo my pipes and saved me literally thousands dollars!

I have a Kohler single handle kitchen faucet with a pull out sprayer. It broke at the base and so I called American Home Shield with whom I have a contract. The plumber, Devin, from Matt's Plumbing came out and as soon as I saw his expression and demeanor I knew there would be problems. He seemed disturbed when I asked him who he was and muttered, """"plumber."""" He walked over to the sink and looked at the faucet. He then asked me who broke it, how did it break and why did it break. If I knew that then I wouldn't need a plumber! He also told me that I had a lifetime warranty on the fixture. Then he went to his truck without another word. I then received a phone call from a woman named Crystal from AHS. She informed me that the reason my faucet was broken was from """"excessive force"""" and therefore it was my fault. I didn't why she said that because it wasn't true but I asked anyway. She said that Devin told her that. I was confused as to why he said that because he didn't discuss it with me first and I was also puzzled as to how he came to that decision so quickly after as few minutes. I was very agitated and asked Crystal if she was aware that the faucet was 13 years old. She said she didn't know that but it didn't matter because if Devin said I broke it then it must be true. Great customer service on both ends! Then Devin called Kohler and they said they would send out another faucet. Devin also informed me that that Kohler agreed with him. I asked if AHS would install it when it ame in and he presented me with a bill for 225. First of all, AHS charges a service fee of 75.00 so if I called them when the fixture arrived it would be 75.00. Where did the 225.00 come from? He is going to charge me before the installation? And 75.00 for what? Looking at the faucet? I just want you to know I am totally disappointed and have been in touch with AHS Corporate about this situation.

Extremely rude and disrespectful. I would never hire this company. The plumber came to my door and said """"Plumber"""", nothing else. Never introduced himself or his company. As I was expecting a plumber I showered him in. As I was walking him to the bathroom room, he actually made a scoffing noise. I stopped and turned around and said, is there a problem, and he did not even reply. He shrugged his shoulders. Took him to the bathroom and started to show him the problem he was there to fix and he made the sound again. At that point I just asked him to leave. Still no response. So I said I said again. No, really, you can leave. And he replied """"I know I can"""". I would never hire this company. Do you really want someone like that in your home??

Matt Plumbing Service just tried to steal $650 out of our pockets and American Homeshield condoned it!!! Both companies are shams!!! We have been faithfully been paying American Homeshield $50 or so dollars a month for years and when our hot water tank breaks, American Homeshield agrees to pay Matt Plumbing $300 while I am supposed to pay $650!!! Unbelievable the scam!!! Do not do business with either and spread the word and report both of them!!!
