I would never use them again. My 6 year old hvac system was without incident and ran perfectly until they came out for a spring maintenance package last year. Next thing I knew, no AC. I called the company that had originally installed the system and was told there was no coolant left. They couldn't find a leak anywhere in the system and thought it was suspicious.

Their service people must also get paid a bonus or get a cut from any up sell. While he was in my basement he also ""noticed work"" I needed on my hot water heater (practically new). Said I would need a BRAND NEW one. When I asked about estimates for outdoor spigots that were leaking, the replacement estimate was high! He also said I needed some pressure valve on my water main valve. He gave me several estimates for varying degrees of plumbing work to be done that was separate from the HVAC. For everything he was recommending ($4500) to just one spigot ($300). By the way, just had both spigots done by a local plumber for $300 vs Mattioni's $600. The guy himself was nice and polite enough. They get some great reviews, but I don't get it. The process felt slick to me.

Called them
To have a cracked/split outside faucet repaired that was located inside a room with my home heating unit. What should've cost me a few hundred at best ended up a $500 job as i was told a frost free faucet was the way to

We had a service plan with them for several years, but when they came to service our air conditioners this spring, they informed me that there were holes in our furnaces upstairs and downstairs. I asked why they were looking at my furnaces ( as they inspected them last fall). They said they had to turn off our heat because "" it was giving out noxious gas"". I was annoyed as we have 4 young children ( one is 15 months) and it was below freezing at night. None of our carbon monoxide detectors have ever gone off or read any number besides 0. They tried to scare me into paying upwards of $10,000 to fix the systems. Had a different company come by for a second opinion, they said the systems were fine and there were no breaches in the heating systems. Will never use Mattioni again as they tried to rip me off and take advantage of me as a woman at home with her children while my husband was a work. I usually don't write reviews, but this was so egregious that I felt I needed to say something.

Mattioni is our ""go to"" for our plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs. We have used the company for years without any problems. We recently had our heater and air conditioner replaced. Trey and Bryan arrived early and worked for the entire day to get the job done. They were polite, helpful, and highly knowledgeable. They explained the features of the new thermostat to us in detail.

I highly recommend Mattioni Plumbing to my friends (and you too).

Contacted this company to provide me with a quote to replace my aged water neutralizer. They wanted me to pay a service call to come and provide a quote.
I made it clear they weren't there to service anything, just provide a bid for doing the replacement.
They are the only company I've contacted that wanted to charge me to provide a bid.
They're work may be first rate, I won't know, but be aware this practice of charging a service change for an estimate is highly unusual, in my experience.

Unfortunately, after years of service by these folks, we've hit the end. Their rates (or should I say mark-ups) have become completely unaffordable. We just had a $250 or so kitchen faucet (Lowe's, Home Depot, others) sold to us and installed by them, and it cost us OVER $775! When I spoke with Tom S. he tried to convince me that ""if the tech had stayed at our house for 4 hours it would have been the same rate."" PS, Jordan wasn't close to being here for 4 hours TO INSTALL A KITCHEN FAUCET! And to think, this was a discounted rate (!!) because we signed up for a contract.

C'mon guys, you've gone too far...way to far for this (once loyal) customer!

Awful in every way. More expensive than others and inexperienced workers with unnecessary suggestions. Even customer service is rude and hangs up on you when you say you aren't interested in their service plan. Not customer oriented in any way.
Update: A woman named Ginger from Mattioni called ME today and asked if I wanted a service plan so I am in your records. When I said I wasnt interested today, she slammed the phone and hung up. I tried calling her back but no voice mail.

I needed help with furnace that wasn't working. Mattioni came out same day. Tech told me it needed $750 part. I paid it. Unit worked for 2 days then failed again. Another tech came out, then the ""manager"" who told me the unit was done and I needed to replace. Ok, so far not horrible right. Then they go down path of quoting $18k for a new unit. No joke, for a townhouse. I said your kidding right? They were not. I put the job out to bid, had 3 other hvac teams bid. Prices came back between 6-10k. For Name brand units. You be the judge as to why anyone would use these guys who think the public is low information consumers.....

Such a disappointment with this company! They instructed on a visit charge due to a non functional well pump which we completely understood. Then after reviewing out situation, hit us with an additional charge close to $300 for their diagnosis...then they tell us we need to do a maintenance agreement with them to get a good price! What a joke. Within a few hours, a private plumber came out, gave us a quote $2,000 less than what Mattioni did and had the pump pulled out, replaced and working in 2 hours.
In addition, the lower cost included a new water tank.

I cannot recommend this company in any way...a total sales pitch!

Complete Ripoff - Stay away! Called to fix basement apartment sink pump. Pump needed new float assembly. $120 for visit & diagnostics. $260 for part (actual $150 online). $350 labor for, at most, 20 minute job. Basement bathroom also had a non-working sink drain assembly. I figured for $50/60 I'd save myself getting down there to fix it. $320!!!!! Took me 10 minutes to fix with a $5 part. These guys are professional ripoff artists. Be warned.
