We recently hired Matters Plumbing for a kitchen leak in a rental property, between the sink and refrigerator. Without checking the refrigerator the technician decided that the leak was coming from the sink cold water line and spliced a new section of pipe into it. This cost me $450 and did not solve the problem. On a subsequent visit he checked the refrigerator ice maker supply line and noted the leak. I replaced the line myself.
Shortly after, the tenant called and stated that the dishwasher was no longer working. I hired an appliance repairman to troubleshoot. He informed me that the plumber had failed to reopen the dishwasher water valve after servicing. That service call cost $233. So now I've wasted $683 total and fixed the issue myself. In the future I'll hire a plumber with better diagnostic skills and enough initiative to fully investigate the issue prior to splicing and compromising the existing pipe structure.
Matters Plumbing has failed to respond to repeated emails and phone messages. Beware folks.
Jean H.Mr. Matters came to inspect a Gas Hotwater Heater in a home that my client was purchasing. He turned on the gas and lit the pilot and we had hot water almost immediately. Thank you so much for the quick turn time.
Update on the plumbing situation! Well it's fixed and if you need a reliable plumber, call Matter's Plumbing. I had to call 4 plumbers to find one that would come out before next week. He came right away, in about one hour. Seems our pipes were never done right in the first place. Who builds a sewer pipe draining uphill? Even a moron knows that water drains downhill! Mike Matters actually had to raise the pipe up in order to get it to drain correctly. I can actually flush my toilet tonight and take a shower in the morning. I took my shower at someone else's house today! Thank you to Mike Matters of Matter's Plumbing! You saved the day! By the way, I have had three plumbers tell me the same thing before, but I just couldn't afford to get it fixed. 1-410-205-9358.
Erika W.I have used them twice. The first time I had an outside faucet and on in my garage that needed replaced. This was due to them leaking when turned on a hose attached. They were able to locate the issue and areas needed within the structure of my home. They had due pipe work due to the issue. They did an amazing job! They were super nice, professional, and knew exactly what needed to be done. Clean-up was perfect too.
The second time I needed a toilet replaced due to one that was fixed prior (not be them) was leaking again. Although I had a spare one in a box, I never opened it till the tech came. It was broken... But they made my day... probably year. Even though it started to snow, he went out and got me a new toilet and installed it, all in the same day and in not so good weather. The tech was prompt, professional, cleaned-up amazingly and super nice.
I will continue to use Matter's Plumbing in the future whenever a need arises for it. They are wonderful company to do business with in these types of issues.
Anne H.Fast response for a clogged kitchen sink on a Friday afternoon. Took about 45 Minutes & charged me $350. I didn't ask for a price upfront. Guys were really friendly and efficient. Price seemed high but they got the job done well. PS Don't put vegetables roots in your garage disposal.

Albert W.I contacted Mike about a problem I was having with my main sewer line. I had previously gotten two estimates from other companies which I thought were on the high side. After speaking to Mike, he gave me an estimate that was 1/3 of the high-end estimate and 1/2 of the middle estimate. Although his was the low-end estimate, he responded quickly and completed the work in an efficient and professional manner. Mike even went above and beyond what he was contracted for by fixing a drainage problem with my kitchen sink and putting a cap on an exposed toilet access hole at no additional charge. I would not hesitate to recommend Matters Plumbing to anyone else in need of plumbing services, if I could give him a rating higher than five stars I would.

Drew was efficient and neat. The price was reasonable and if I need a plumber again I will call Matters.

Tia B.I was referred to Matters Plumbing through my home warranty company. The first appointment was a no show no call. I left a voice mail and text message and no reply. Being patient, I gave them a call the next week. He asked ""is 10am okay"" I said yes. He showed up at 1pm. I was no longer home. He did not say between 10 and 1. Had he given me a ""time window"" I would have made another appointment or arrangements. Horrible customer service!
