Didn't realize how badly I got ripped off until I had another plumbing company out and do the work for half the price. I'll explain...

I had a big leak from my water valve under my sink. I turned off the water to my building, Called around a few places, Matrix had the shortest wait time, so I went with them.

Ricky came out and said it would be $250 (plus parts) to change out the valve due to ""liability"". I thought this was normal, so I had him replace it. He noticed the other valve was broken, so another $250 plus parts. $519 later, he wouldn't even turn the water back on due ""liability"" again.

Today, I had another plumbing company come out to replace two other valves. The technician did the work in about 20 minutes. He said he had to charge for the full hour, and wanted to know if there is anything else he wanted me to do. I had change out two other valves just to be safe. So for him to change out 4 valves, with parts, the total came to $251. He was even nice to turn the water back on!

Was told by Robertson Plumbing that I had a problem with my main line (even though nothing was backing up). He contacted his buddy Rick to come out and put a camera down the main line to have a look. I looked on as they did this. Interesting thing that I found out a day later was that Rick looked at a plumbing issue at my brother's house. The initial response since his camera was BROKEN was to bust open their walls to find out what was going on. Glad my brother called for a second opinion since his problem was solved by snaking the line.

Back to my problem...Rick and Robertson Plumbing said they need to trench inside my house, from one end to the other and replace the main line based on what they saw on the camera that suddenly worked. They said the line couldn't be sleeved or washed out because it was too brittle and could crumble if we went that route. They said that they would need to take out the vinyl flooring, remove drywall and that this would take approximately two weeks to complete the job. After an insane quote of approximately $30,000, we obviously got a second and third opinion. Both of those companies allowed me to watch as they put the camera down the line. First off, what I saw on their cameras (which turned out to be a very good thing) looked nothing like what I saw from Rick's camera.

BOTH COMPANIES SAID I HAD NO ISSUES OR DAMAGE TO MY MAIN LINE! Yes, it is a 60 year old cast iron pipe. Both companies provided us with guidance to be proactive and preventative with the old aged pipe and it was nothing remotely close to $30,000!

Do your research and get several quotes when thinking about getting work done by Matrix plumbing.

I've relied on Matrix Plumbing & Services for three jobs at my house, including a water heater replacement. In every case they were on time, friendly, honest, and did excellent work.

Most recently I had a leak in the main water line into my home. Bruce and Phil came out and did an excellent job of finding the leak and giving me an honest set of options to fix the problem. They fixed the problem and were able to leave everything clean and tidy (which was quite an accomplishment seeing how much dirt they had to dig up).

I highly recommend Matrix Plumbing & Services, and I'll continue to call them for any plumbing help I need in the future.

Called Matrix to clean a clogged kitchen drain. Bruce the plumber arrived on schedule per the time window. Matrix also called me when he was on his way to let me know an exact time of arrival. He cleared and cleaned the drain quickly. Bruce knew what he was doing and he was fast and efficient. And he was careful to clean and disinfect the area where he worked. This was our first time using their services and let me begin by saying I'm overly joyed by their professionalism, and customer service. They were pleasant and worked fast even in this pandemic. Our garbage disposal was broken and they fixed it in 5 minutes. Don't waste your time going some where else. Ask for Phil and Bruce when you call !!

On April 18th, we ask these guys to come to my parent's house. The kitchen sink was leaking. They came right away and fixed it in most costly effective way. Their price was very fair and they communicated with us very nicely. My family and I were very impressed. Now our bathroom is clogged. I will be happy to write them another review if they do a good job again. There are not that many trustworthy plumbers around, so we felt lucky. Thanks Matrix!

We have a chronic problem with our mainline due to a bad remodel job a few years ago. We have a low spot (belly) in the mainline so about once a year, it gets sluggish and we have to have someone come out and clean it out for us. The guy we've been using for the last few years didn't return my calls, so I went on a search for someone new and was told about Matrix Plumbing (by another happy customer). They were on time, they were friendly and they did an excellent job. They offered up some suggestions as to how we might make the problem a little better and we will be looking into it. They were helpful and professional and they left everything so clean you wouldn't know they had even been here. The price was a little high, but we live in the far east county, so that's to be expected with travel time and all. I will use them again and wouldn't hesitate to refer them to friends.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Ricky (Raccoon) fix a leak in my ceiling pipes.

As others say ""Ricky is a Profession Plumber with a professional and pleasant personality."" I received same day service, I knew right off the bat I was going to receive a professional job.

I highly recommend the company Ricky works for and hope they are as Proud to of him as a we were to have him in our home.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They were fantastic!! Ricky and Phil were very professional and knowledgeable. I had a last minute pluming emergency, they came out that day (within a few hours).
