Honestly, I don't even take my time of day for this even if the service mediocre. However, I can absolutely say that I am less than enthused with the service they provided. Don't get me wrong, the tech was very polite and seemed to want to help.. BUT AT WHAT COST!? .. I don't mind paying for a service if that is what you provide, but if you charge and not complete the service and then try to charge you twice? What does that say of you as a business.
Initial diagnostic is 245$ but this doesn't guarantee you a diagnostic, so if the tech has to leave to another service, they will tell you that you can get charged 125$ more per hour they stay.. or call you with a solution, so they only charge you for labor (understandable). BUT, afterwards to tell you they need to diagnose again on a separate day, because whatever they did, caused another issue, which they would not take responsibility for. AND, they will also charge you for the repair AFTER the second diagnose. So you're paying 245 per diagnose plus whatever parts and labor is.
If the issue was actually solved on the first time it would not be a problem to pay for one diagnosis and one visit to get the work done (if waiting on parts) but having them try and charge more bc you tried to be nice and not hold the tech waiting on the phone and just call you back. I should have kept him waiting that hour and paid less than what they wanted to charge me for 2 visits and the cost of repair... I would literally have spent almost 500$ on having them tell me what I already know the issue is. Ridiculous, prices need to be up front and not just change it bc their plans changed.
Just really sad that they were focused on what they can charge you rather than providing a descent and reasonable service.

We hired Mastropiero Plumbing to install fixtures in our bathroom. When the vanity was installed, my husband noticed that the plumber left some of the packing on the bottom of the vanity. The plumber damaged the bottom side of the vanity upon removing the packing. The bottom of the vanity where it meets the floor was crushed. Unfortunately, my husband neglected to tell me what happened but a few weeks later, I noticed the damage when I painted the wall. I informed the management of the occurrence and requested a new skin for the damaged side of the vanity fearing that over time the damage would worsen with age and washing of the floor. Their response was that they had no way of knowing how the damage occurred. I provided pictures of the vanity which made it unequivocably obvious how the damage occurred. Once the vanity is installed, there is no possible way for such a damage to occur. Of course, the plumber who installed the vanity knew what had happened and their refusal to take responsibility made it clear to me that this was a company that did not have integrity. Once they have your money, they are done with you!
BUYER BEWARE!!! Stay away at all costs.
Spent over $900 in labor alone with this outfit to replace a bathroom faucet. It took them 3 visits spanning almost a month to get the job resolved. Company more concerned with charging you than trying to resolve.
When inquiring about the rates I asked to speak to the office manager (believe her name was Janice) who always seemed to be unavailable to me but could always make time to communicate with the technician advising them what price to charge.
I tried to be as polite and understanding with this company as I could and it got me nowhere. Just a huge bill, tons of frustration, no response whatsoever and almost a grand out of pocket.
If you're a residential customer I'd highly recommend you look elsewhere. Totally disappointed in the lack of professionalism and price gauging that exhibited towards my job.
Live and learn. I'd never recommend Mastropiero to anyone!
I called this firm 4 times today requesting an urgent quote. Each time I was told they would be getting back to be imminently. They never did. Very poor business acumen and general lack of professionalism.
On the first of February I had a service done for a gas line leak. The did the test and told me it had a leak, which I already knew, then was supposed to call me back with a solution. I didn't receive a call. I called a week later, the lady said someone o would call me that night or in the morning. No call. I called again a few days later, same thing happened. I called in today and she started getting mad that I would call about this during covid. She said that I don't need to worry about my gas line and I need to do some soul searching and said a bunch of awful things about the type of person I am for calling in asking about my service. So in the end I was charged a few hundred dollars for them to tell me I had a leak. I already knew that. I contacted them initially to repair the leak, but I will not use there service and would not recommend it to anyone.
S H.My thirty year old gas boiler crapped out last week. I called several companies to get estimates on replacing the boiler. Mastropiero was not the cheapest but seemed to be the most knowledgeable on what was required. The contract was signed and on Monday morning they showed up on time to complete the job. As usual with a 75 year old home, Another minor issue came up with the chimney. Mastropiero plumbing corrected that issue also. By the end of the day, the new boiler was installed and functioning. There was a compatibility problem with my thermostat and they returned the following day and corrected it. I would recommend this company. As a first time customer, I would definitely use them again.
Melanie P.Called 1.2.19 for HVAC repair, spoke with Denise, she set us up with an appointment for free estimate, I specifically ask if it was free and she said yes, after the tech looked at out unit, he said it is $185.00 for the service call, I told him( tech Steven) Denise said it was a free estimate , he said "" she does this a lot"" I will call mike and waive it for you. They gave us an estimate of 1050.00, we felt we needed to proceed and asked if they could do better for cash and we were told they could do no tax and it would be $985.00, I gave a $200.00 deposit check to order the part because I was told by Steve I had to give a deposit to order the part( inducer Fan) they would order the part in the morning. He left about 6:30
AT 9:00 am (1.3.19) I get a text and an email that he is on his way to my house, I called the office and told Denise , no one is home we were not aware he was coming we are at work( no one lives in the house yet!) I asked if they could come after 5 and was told no they can come next week, I told her we can't wait until next week, that we would find some else to fix our unit, and I would be there to pick up my deposit check, NOT to cash it! She said ok.
AT 11:32 am She told me they cashed my check already and that the only way they would not charge me the estimate was if it was for a new unit, I said that is not what you told me yesterday and your web site says free estimates!! I told her I would be stopping payment on my check, her response is they take this very seriously and they will prosecute!!!!! I told her go ahead with what you need to do, PROSECUTE me for stopping payment on a Check you were told not to cash!

Set up appointment to service my boiler and received 3 emails confirming my appointment and then they never showed after waiting 4 hrs (their standard service windiw). Oops - they made a scheduling mistake. Oops - I canceled the service.
Daniel H.Had a toilet install performed through Lowe's. Chris (representing Mastropiero) showed up within the assigned time window that I was given -- boy, is that a relief when you have to take a half-day from work to cover the visit -- and got to work right away. It took less than 90 minutes for the whole job of removal, installation and caulking. [I was back to work with plenty of my half-vacation day to spare; my boss even told me to skip putting in for the vacation day and just fit in a few extra hours over the next week to cover the time away.] Chris answered all my questions and gave me the all-important user care directions for a new install. He was clean and efficient. It's the little things; as he removed my old toilet he hauled the component pieces to his truck *as he removed each piece.* How nice not to have components of an old toilet sitting on your floor for any length of time (albeit on a floor liner I had provided just in case). He even took care of the box for the new toilet, I didn't have to ""clean"" a thing when he left, just folded up the floor liner and that was it.
The office staff (called them two times before installation, once on the day of installation and once the day after installation) answer phones cheerfully and take an interest in what you're saying. How nice to speak to a customer representative who sounds pleased to hear your voice -- so rare in today's age.
Highest recommendation for Mastropiero and their staff. Kudos and highest props to Chris, the installer, for his professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. I'll be back for a second toilet install and one or two other services I require in the coming months.

Dina L.I would never use them. I was buying a house and the bank required them to fill out paper work. They never followed up and when I spoke with the office manager she was very rude and did not care about my business she just kept arguing with me that that done a favor by talking to me at 5:55pm after hours. This was not going to be a cheap repair but a replacement for a boiler/hot water heater 12k. I asked the owner to call back and he could not be bothered.
