my 23 yo furnace went out the other day. i called Mastercraft and they came right out, i had them replace the unit as i left to go tomwork. to my surprise, the unit was installed in two hrs. These guy rock. i have not read any of the other reviews but all their work has been top notch .
ithis is an unbiased review. i am a custmer. The tankless unit that was installed years ago also gives me endless hot water

Needed certificate for City rental. Tech said unit cracked. Must buy new. $3850. Had second opinion, passed inspection, nothing wrong with it. Flat out rip off tried. People are not going to fall for your rip off tactics anymore.

I think this place is great! Dan did an amazing job troubleshooting and proving a good solution w/out a/c. Told us about their electric service which was timely.
Had Joe, the electitian, come out and did an outstanding job! He was patient with all the requests and always offered the perfect fix to a potential issue. He also saved us from some major issues he spotted outside that DTE had to come out to fix.
Will use these services again. It was worth every penny to have peace of mind!

I had Oscar Castillo come out and work on my two HVAC units. I moved into this house and there were lots of issues with the ducts. There were open holes in them that allowed air to blow into the crawl space, then thru the basement, and then upstairs. We also found multiple floor registers that had such large gaps between the floor and the ducts that more air was going into the crawl than into the room. Oscar went over the entire duct system, taped up many open joints, covered the openings, and fixed the floor registers. He was a joy to work with and he addressed everything.

I also had him do some custom ductwork. We added switch-controlled motorized dampers so I can open them in the winter when I do want some warm air in the basement to prevent freezing the pipes but can close them in the spring thru the fall when I don't need cool conditioned air getting into the crawl and basement area. I have a switch that I toggle over and everything moves. More cooling in the summer upstairs where you want it and heat by the pipes when it gets cold. Call and ask for Oscar to see if he can do the same for you.

POOR WORKMANSHIP! After technician examined my furnace, he was unable to determine a noise I thought was coming from my furnace . He pointed out that there was rust where the flames were burning. He suggested I might want to upgrade to a TRANE furnace for $4500. I asked if he thought I could make it till Aug. or Sept. He closes the door on the furnace and fails to reconnect the LIMIT SWITCH wire that transmits warm air throughout the ducts. He goes to his car and writes a proposal and tells me, ""IF HE WALKS OUT THE DOOR WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE, THE DEAL WAS OFF THE TABLE'. Who does that. I left my home right after he did and returned almost 5 hours later to a freezing house.
I panicked and called their emergency # and spoke to two separate operators. The 1st said she would pass the message on and HOPED that someone would get back to me that evening. After a half hour I called a neighbor who came immediately. And thank God he knew about furnaces. He was very angry that I was experiencing the freezing temperature. I called back to the emergency # and cancelled, saying that I had help.
My neighbor got my furnace reignited but suggested I have a professional company come out and take a look at my furnace and I did. The next morning Friday the 2nd company arrived and told me that the switch was indeed the problem. And he also determined the BOOM noise I had heard.
Having recorded both my neighbor and the 2nd company, I called MASTERCRAFT Friday afternoon and spoke to the owner STEVE , offering to bring the video to his office but he didn't want to see it. He said I had explained everything well. He then said ""I don't know what you want from me."" And I replied, that I wasn't happy to have had to pay two companies. He asked me if I would be home the next day, and I replied ""YES"". He said that he would call me. I never received a call or knock at my door!

Tech ....... Never called to see if I was ok!

Nope! We've used Al Walter's in the past and they have been great. We called them yesterday morning. We didn't know the business sold/changed hands/whatever, and got a guy from Mastercraft. Guy came out, pulled a wire OUT of the furnace, poked around, and told my husband we needed a new furnace because ""there SEEMS to be a problem with the circuit board"" and since the furnace is 20 years old it is ""gonna"" (yes, he wrote that down) happen again like it already has been. Husband was furious and this ""diagnostic"" cost $85.00.

My furnace stopped working around 9-9:30pm. I called Mastercraft and Bob came out within an hour. He diagnosed a bad transformer and replaced it within 30 minutes and I was back up and running. Had to pay more for the service call with it being after hours I am sure but it was worth it in the end.
