COMPLAINT
IF YOU ARE an AMERICAN HOME SHIELD Customer, BE SURE AHS DOES NOT CALL MASTER TECH SERVICE to service YOU.
If MASTER TECH SERVICE comes, you are screwed!
BACKGROUND
We placed a simple hot water heater service call on DEC 19 0830HR to American Home Shield.
Master Tech Services showed up 54 hr later. did not fix anything and disappeared. This has resulted in incompetent and ZERO service for 16 straight days now. Neither Master Tech Service nor American Home Shield followed up.
MTS doesn't give any Customer Service.
And they have not even ordered the necessary parts yet required.
MASTER SERVICE TECH has clearly earned negative stars, NOTHING POSITIVE
- Incompetent Service Techs
- Extremely Incompetent Operations Management, they lied to American Home Shield saying they had fixed the water heater (totally untrue)
- They don't return ANY CALLS
- THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THESE GUYS
- These guys are liars and cheats.
AMERICAN HOME SHIELD
We have talked to AHS 7 times over the last 3 weeks, with no positive results. Just bureaucratic run around and delay after delay. We are caught in a bureaucratic loop that does not REPAIR MY HOT WATER HEATER.
AHS has been a bureaucratic hell with getting Master Tech Service to perform as required.
American Home Shield has contracted a slip shod grossly incompetent 3rd Party Contractor and AHS has no concern with their inept Master Tech Service Contract. They have pocketed the money and disappeared.
If AHS had a properly qualified 3rd Party Service Provider and The 3rd Party Service Provider Performed it's contractual duties with effectiveness, I WOULD NOT HAVE TO BE piSSed OFF AND WRITING SUCH COMPLAINT. I JUST WANT MY HOT WATER HEATER FIXED.

Buyer Beware - these folks bent over backward to install the new $10k HVAC system but in the 7 months since installation, we have had them back out twice due to shoddy installation and non-cooling/freezing up of lines. We should have been prepared, but the weather has turned cold and, shocker, the heat is not working. Called to get someone out, after 7&1/2 hours and 2 messages left, we finally got a call back. They, of course, can't come out for 2 days despite my 85 year old mom living with us and freezing. I had already called another company to come out today and the only response I got when I let them know I would be paying someone else to do what would be warranty work was that I could leave a message for the service supervisor who would call me in 2 days when they were back in the office. Completely unacceptable service from this company and I cannot recommend them from any perspective.

If my dog house had plumbing, I would not hire Master Tech Service Corp to service my dog house. This vendor was completely dishonest. They tried to get me to pay them $1,820.00 to flush out my plumbing systems and fix a leak in the main line from the street to the house. When all they had to do was to replace O-rings on all the faucets inside the house and replace the drain gaskets on the outside faucets. Because the rings were deteriorated since they were installed in 1994 as I told them. Another plumbing vendor came out and saw the same problems and replaced the O- rings and stop gaskets. Don't ever hire Master Tech for your plumber

Where do I start. Technician brought mud in from outside all over my carpeted stairs. Master tech claims since 5 hours went by " you can't prove we did it" I was at work and a babysitter was there. I sent pictures of the muddy foot prints outside a/c unit then mud on told floor leading to stairs then all up stairs. Horrible customer service!!!! Stay away! Tech is lying saying he had booties on. If that's the case why did mud continue on the tile floor after you were all muddy outside- then I the stairs.
****update 9/28 Tory from Master tech called to personally apologize and shared its a brand new mastertech and a lot of the employees are now new. He seemed very nice and wanted to even pay for my carpet cleaning. I did not feel right about that since I do not even live there. My suggestion to those researching- look at recent reviews with the new management to get a better feel for the company*****

I want to give ZERO rating for this company. NO customer courtesy of any kind and only knows the language of money. PLEASE AVOID DOING ANY KIND OF WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. NOT CUSTOMER FRIEDNLY AND RIPPING OFF CUSTOMER WITH HIGH CHARGES.
I came to know this company through my home warranty company as they assigned to my case for repairing kitchen faucet work. Technician came after 5 days and inspected my faucet and said he will have to replace it. When he came after few more days to replace he replaced it with a faucet that matched my white color but it did not fit very well with my old sink and from the beginning we started having problem with it.
After 10 days, we simply gave up and asked him to replaced the sink and faucet with newer stains steel sink and faucet. Which he charged me about $600 - an very very high fees. A sink which he got it from HomeDepot for less than $200.
I almost feel that this company ripped me off and took advantage of my emergency situation. I let go but now again after not even 6 months, I've a problem with my faucet again. Water is flowing extremely slow through the faucet and I called them again today and not to my surprise, they are asking for money again.
I never done ratings for any company before, but for this one I'm taking time, as I do not want other customers go through what I've gone through this company. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Was referred to this company by my home warranty company and received an EXTREMELY rude email on a Sunday while trying to get emergency service for a major water leak inside my home. After reviewing their YELP feedback, I am not surprised one bit. Seems to me this company solely exists on home warranty referrals because their lack of professionalism is appalling.

horrible and dishonest!!!! do not use this company!
tried to charge me over $5000 for a job that that costs less than $300. Office will not give me a supervisors name. Told me I will have to find it online. I was referred by First American home Warranty. They are CROOKS!!!

I had a faucet leak on June 13, 2015. A repair man from Master Tech replaced a seat and washer. The leak reoccurred on February 18, 2016. When I called Master Tech to ask that they honor their service - replace the part at a reduced price - it was less than nine months - Alina told me that the warranty for those parts was 45 days. I called a trusted friend who has been a plumber for decades, and he came and showed me the piece was never replaced, but rather filed down so that it would fit. The sharp edges wore the washer down, which resulted in the problem.

Do NOT use this company. Extraordinarily rude over the phone and generally unhelpful at best. Refused to allow me access to a supervisor and shuffled me off the phone indicating there was nothing else they could do for me. American Home Shield refers to this company for plumbing. We had a repair that IS covered since it was primer/glue stuff for PVC that had failed or was improperly installed. These idiots tried to tie the problem to soil movement that is NOT a covered thing through AHS. Problem? There is no soil movement. These guys are BAD NEWS... do not walk but rather run from them and their horrid customer service.

Atrocious behavior from office manager, "Alvena". I was referred to this company by American Home Shield. Alvena was rude from the start of the conversation. I called her on it, she got mad at me for doing so, and said she was going to call American Home Shield and cancel the order. Alvena refused to give me her supervisor's name nor would she let me talk to anyone else. I can't believe that the office manager of this company does not have basic customer service skills.
