I have not personally used this company, but the previous owners of the house I purchased did. They told me Master Rooter """"redid"""" their hydraulic septic system. I'm not a plumber or an electrician, but I could tell the electrical wiring was a mess. When I had a pipe freeze because of single digit temperatures I checked Master Rooter's reviews. I wouldn't have them, and at that time I didn't even read the reviews. I just saw that they only had 1.5 out of 53 reviews. Fast forward to last week when a reputable plumber came out to replace my hydraulic system because it had been struck by lightning, he came to the conclusion that my system had not been pumped out. I had the inspection from Master Rooter's who came out and had supposedly pumped the system. They even wrote down everything they did and the owner initialed it. My plumber asked if the ground had been dug up around the three openings in the tank. No, it had not been. Believe me it would have been obvious. This morning I Googled Master Rooter in Gainesville, GA and started reading the reviews. I was appalled at all the reviews about how they treated customers and overcharged them. It confirmed that what my plumber told me was true. I don't know how they can stay in business. I would give them a minus 10.
the quote and the final price were way out of line. they started adding cost onto the job. the job was way overpriced but I needed a service. If I had seen these reviews prior, I would have never hired their service. I will not recommend them to anyone. I will post my experience with them on my FB, X and vlog, so my neighbors can be aware of this company. I see a lot of one star ratings for this company and I understand why.
Someone needs to stop these con artist. They qoute you $150-600 at the time of booking the appointment. Then when they arrive, ( of course a few hours late) the price more than doubles. They tell you all these possible problems with your system and give you recommendations on options on how to go about fixing them. So the whole time you think they're going to do these recommendations, when in reality they're just pumping your tank. They'll lie and say your tank is """"overflowing"""" which becomes a $200+ charge. That's total BS because the cap was a clean slab when removed. Then they'll never tell you they're charging you another $500+ for the main line to the house to get pumped! After talking to other septic companies they all informed me that the main line gets pumped automatically when doing a standard cleaning. You'll think they'll be satisfied screwing over clients but it doesn't stop there. Because they're still charging the original $500 + for a standard pump and an additional $100+ to remove the caps. Bringing the total to $1300+. I have two little ones at home. So I was trying and tackle multiple things at once. So when I signed the invoice for the $1300+ I thought all these recommendations and problems were being fixed. Nothing was fixed other than a basic pump. Once I got off the phone with processing my card. All work stopped and they were """"finished"""". EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS SCHEME!!!!! I had to ask to see pictures of the """"work"""" that was done and the technicians reluctant to show me. I only thought he was taking pictures to educate me on my system. I had to snap pictures of the pictures he took from my device. There's no breakdown of services on the invoice. It's all unprofessional! They're thieves at the end of the day! The BBB will be informed next!
These guys are the worst and the sad thing of it is that their contracts are fucking sound. They did a job for Us, that required the replacement of our old tank with a new one and a new set of Lines because our old ones where already unusable. The tank and lines were 60 or so years old mind you that. everything cost us like 17k dollars that we had to finance through their financing company. It took them almost a whole month due to the soil test to begin work and get the proper paperwork. They did not come to the house to pump our already busted tank. And if we called for that they said they would had to charge us for the service. We were already strapped for cash as it was, when the day of the Job came to be a month late than the promised allotted time. They came in around 10 in the afternoon and by 2 they where already gone. Most of my family was there to film the occurrence but by 2 everyone was gone either for work or wasn't at the house to look at them finish their job, thinking that they would finish. But all they did was after the inspector gave the okay, they just put the dirt and sealed their job and did not check shit, they left clumps of dirt everywhere and mounds of dirt where they used to be the locations of the new lines. The issues started happening a few weeks later, since the dirt wasn't setting properly and the water was still backing up, we called them and basically threatened them to come and fix what they did, They sent us an associated plumber and told us if it was our fault they would had to charge us and if it was their fault that they would cover the plumber they sent us, Lo and behold the plumber opens the new septic tank cap and finds a whole bag of extra tubing blocking the filter and making the water pretty much back up the whole system. The filter to be extremely dirty and us had to change it ourselves, and we had to move with a shovel in hand and a wheelbarrow all the clumps of dirt they left. And making us notice that they had not digged one of the ditches the correct way and caused the last area of the draining system to be blocked off and not work properly and since it had not enough depth it is overflowing and making the sewage seep out through the dirt. We have even tried to pro se sue those guys, and we have Bickered for the responsibility but they haven't done shit and if they do they will charge us for their own fuck up we are tired of them so we soon will go and get t a proper malpractice on their ass to give them some heat here is to wish us some luck guys.
My advice, NEVER use this company. They quoted $680 and actually charged $1875. 16 days later. The same problem occurred. Avoid this company. One star was the only option, I would give it a negative number if I could.
They charged more money, the invoice to clean the septic was $440.00 they charged me a total of $1550 , they said for the time that they was there. I still with my problem because the lines need to be repaired, they told me that they will charge for fix it $5500 but after I signed to do the job they said they cannot do it. I still having the same problem and charged almost 4 times for the price to clean the septic, they are scammers. Dishonest company, I called several times to the """"manager"""" they are all equal dishonest.
We were very pleased with Vinny, he was very courteous, knowledgeable, professional and master rooter is lucky to have such a good employee!
I should have read the reviews, quoted $149, then $280, when they showed it went to $540.00 and trying for another $300 for chemicals. So lets look at my 750 gal septic tank which has a 6"""" cleanout pipe. so no digging, just drop the 4"""" hose in and pump out the tank. About 35 minutes to back in, pull the hoses, put them in the tank, drain the tank, put hoses away, write out an absurd invoice. Read reviews, call three companies, forget any quotes over the phone, let them come out and give a free estimate. no free estimate? say goodbye, absurd estimate, say goodbye. Screw me once shame on you screw me twice shame on me.
Sheela K.Aw man it looks like my family member was taken advantage of here as well. I wish they had gone on Yelp or at least Google to check out the reviews from others who were deceived. They recommended risers and the job took like 30 mins-ish for a total of $1500. Something does not sit well or sound right
This is the most deceptive and dishonest company. I was given 3 quotes for different scenarios. Sounded fair at first. After they uncovered the septic tank and found a couple of issues, they wanted full payment upfront of 3100 dollars. 1 thousand more than what was quoted. After haggling with the guy he came down to 2800, still not knowing if the problem was fixed. Long story short they didn't fix the problem and left with the main line from the house to the tank stopped up. They were supposed to have repaired pipes in the tank and replaced pipe to field lines and did not. Had to hire another company to come out and replace the main line to the tank and repair the pipes in the tank. I am not through with this yet. I tried to get some of my money back but the owners gave me excuses and wanted me to compare prices which is hard to do when you're dealing with crooks. Do Not Use this Company!
