Being A LGBGT company are hard to find in the DC area
This company is the best company that can be trusted
We had a water filtration system installed along with a Leak Defense system. Both were installed by Kevin. He did a great job with the installation as well as with follow up. He is very hard working and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the company and Kevin.
We've had Master Plumbing several times: replace three faucets, fix two running toilets, replace a leaky pipe, replace a leaky water heater, etc. Each time the plumber really knew what he was doing, worked quickly, and explained everything. Definitely recommend them.
We had an issue with our toilet flushing and the cut off valve next to it started to spray water so knew we were in trouble. Of course this happened at 5:00pm on a weekday so no plumbers open... so I left a voice mail for Master Plumbing and indicated to please call as soon as possible.. 7:09am the next morning I got a polite call and service scheduled. Steve was prompt, professional, diagnosed the problem, gave an estimate to fix and boom, problem solved.
It was the most hassle free, speedy and wonderful service we have EVER had from a plumbing business!
They are our go to for everything now!!!!
THANK you Master Plumbing ...
Over all I am very pleased with my experience getting a hot water heater replacement. They had me take a couple of photographs of my old heater and, within minutes, responded with an estimate. They were able to schedule me for the next day after I called. The tech showed up on time and worked diligently and professionally to complete the replacement in about 3 hours. So far the system is working flawlessly. The invoice exactly matched the estimate.
The only minor negative was at the end, when I asked some maintenance questions, the response was ""read the book"". I think a $3K project entitles me to a better response.
This company must be losing business. From their front office phone lady to the mechanic, they are all about charging you as much as possible. I needed to fix the spigot. Instead of examining the spigot, the plumber measures the drywall to tear up to replace the spigot. He said it will take hours to fix this. I asked him to examine the spigot before tearing anything. The plumber checks and tightens the handle. Voila, spigot is not leaking at all and working fine. He still charges me $175 having spent 15 min at the house. I asked if they have a flat visit fee and of course he insists on me paying for a repair that never took place. I wrote them an email to complain about this and the customer service lady write a nasty email about how sorry she is that I was so confused. Will NEVER use this company again.
The co-owner, Billy Silk, came to my house to give me an estimate for a new boiler and was incredibly rude. When he said I would need a boiler with a pump, I asked if the pumps made noise; he said, ""I've been doing this for 40 years and never gotten any complaints, but I can tell I'll get some from you."" He sent me a rough estimate and recommended model on a Thursday, and when I sent an email to ask questions about his recommendations, he replied on Monday that they had suddenly become too busy to do the work. Rude and disrespectful. I'm glad I got to see what kind of business they are before entering into a contract.
I've now used Master Plumbing and Mechanical on three occasions. Once was a catastrophic emergency issue that required a simple but quick fix, one was a normal plumbing issue, and the latest was a major plumbing job (tear down of old in wall toilet and installation of a new one). In all three they were super communicative, patient when I had to assess options, and professional when they did the work. Billy, Billy, Fred and Kevin have all done great work and I will certainly use them again.
Janet D.Our go to for all things plumbing. Have been using them for years. I called in for a kitchen faucet replacement once because ours was leaking and the plumber showed me which piece needed replacement, told me how to order and demonstrated how to replace. Saved me over $100 and I liked my faucet! I find them incredibly honest and professional.
Austin Dickey is very knowledgeable and was able to quickly trouble shoot and correct the issue I was having with my basement sink.
Much appreciated. Would hire again.
