Master Plumbing was sent to do a leak detection by my insurance company. Our plumber was Mario and his assistant was Eric. Mario was honest and efficient. He found the leak right away. It was a wax ring on an upstairs toilet. He also told me that my pressure regulator was going and that I could hire them or I could hire another plumber who would likely cost less. (After doing some research, we chose a less expensive plumber for the regulator replacement.) Mario was going to replace the wax ring at no charge but once they removed the toilet, they discovered that the flange was also deteriorating. He told me that if he had the flange on his truck, he could do the repair right away. He did not have the part but I had him come the following day to do the repair. The repair cost us $275. I appreciated his honesty and integrity.

The BEST SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO! We thought we had a water leak. They came out, were professional and courteous and knowledgeable! We found them because our neighbors used them for their leak and really liked the work and price. Highly recommend!! And... No leak found, yeah!

It all started out with us calling another plumber, Mr. Rooter, scoping our pipes and telling us that we our cast iron pipes were cracked and roots were entering them. Unfortunately it was our only bathroom for my disabled mother. We were going to be charged to dig into the concrete slab of our house and replace that pipe. That was going to be nearly $5000.00. Then this company found another crack and the price went up to $9000.00 with both bathrooms being totally destroyed. I called the insurance and they suggested I stop with this company and use Master Plumbing because of certain things that happened. I can say that Mr. Rooter was really good about the transition as I had decided to go with Master Plumber. I cannot say that I have been unhappy at all. They came in gave me a quote of the part I had to pay for and then they did the repairs. They are still in the process. They replaced all the cast iron pipe for the two bathrooms under the slap. They had to dig a bit further under so that they would not have to ruin the other bathroom. Except for two days, (we had to go to a hotel) they made sure we could use the other bathroom. They have now replaced the pipe and have packed in the dirt so it won't shift. We are now waiting for it to dry before they put in rebar replacement and concrete. Drying will keep the dirt from shifting and will allow the cement to set better. We have been told what needs to happen and why they are doing things in a certain manner. Being informed has been very helpful.

Cal from Master plumbing did great work at our house! He was here for a multiple-day job, worked very hard, and was very courteous and professional. We had an old cast iron drain backed up, cracked and leaking that needed to be replaced. All of the old plumbing was removed along with much jackhammering and digging to remove the old drain pipe. A new drain was installed quickly, which was a relief, as it allowed us to use our kitchen sink and dishwasher again! New rebar was installed and new cement was poured. The work is high quality and should function for many years to come. Master plumbing worked efficiently with our insurance company and was pretty good about staying in communication with us. Cal is a very skilled and experienced plumber, and was great at answering our questions. He went above and beyond by minding our gates to keep our dogs from getting out, and made sure to clean up after all the work. We are very happy with Cal and Master Plumbing and Leak Detection!

So impressed with Master Plumbing, their fast response and professional temporary/permanent installation of our water heater. Our old one leaked, caused damage and had to be removed. We had a quote from Anderson's Plumbing to try to find and stop an intermittent leak. They wanted to cut open the walls and a huge hole the unit below's ceiling to figure out what was going on. Our insurance recommended Master Plumbing before letting them cut the place open. Luis came out and figured everything out with his cameras and even a small mirror and a tiny hole. He was able to find the leak and saved us thousands of dollars not to mention the trouble of drywall repair. On top of that he was one of the friendliest contractors I've ever met.

House flooded on night of July 4th. Called Master Plumbing to replace my cold water intake hose. Guy arrived, replaced the hose and asked about report for insurance company. Since ServPro was already there placing tape on the walls and checking for water damage I felt it was unnecessary but being gobsmacked by the flood, I said okay. He remained for a very SHORT time and left. Received no report so called on August 2nd to request a copy for myself. Was told I could not have it, it was the property of my insurance company. Got my dander up and asked who paid them. Me they replied; Exactly said I so they (the office manager) decided to send me a copy anyway. Called my insurance company, no report in their files, so called MP back and asked for a refund. Not going to happen said they. Insurance company had no report since they hadn't received the name of the adjustor nor insurance company.

Have always been real happy with previous guys they sent out but now I'm not so sure I'll deal with them again.

Beware of people who take advantage.
