Had a leak in our master bedroom standing shower enclosure that was masked by the previous owner of our home. Wawanesa had suggested we have Master Plumbing come out to conduct a leak detection. Mike Logsdon came out almost immediately, and brought some pretty neat tools to detect the cause of the leak and the extent of the damages. I knew he wasn't bullshitting with everything we discussed as I did my research before hand and everything he said made perfect sense.

Aside from detecting the leak and explaining everything he was doing along the way, we had some side conversations regarding random things such as drones and iPhone apps, that I felt made the experience much more comfortable and relaxing.

Mike knows what he's doing, is personable, and a pretty stand-up guy.

We didn't have any work actually done by Master Plumbing, so as far as the leak detection and troubleshooting goes, it was everything I needed.

My insurance company doesn't cover the plumbing cost for a leaking pipe behind my shower, and sent me this company to fix it. They quoted a fee for $385 to cut out the shower and replace the failing valve component (this component is less than $1). However, the shower has already been cut out by another leakage detection company. When the plumber comes and tries to replace the failing component, I asked him how much he would take for replacing this failing component, since he does not need to cut out shower anymore. He responded with the original price $385. Thank god I asked before he did anything. Then we negotiated the price to be flat $150 (which I still think too high for a 10 minutes work). They are not as honest as they appear. Think twice before you hire this company.

This company works for many insurance companies to come out and do evaluations. I recently was at a flooded house where we had several elevated moisture levels, hot and wet floors and wet carpet from a slab leak whereby the house was in need for water damage restoration. The insurance company sent this company out and their tech proceeded to unplug all of the dry out equipment, throw the hoses on our machines and then told the insurance company and home owner that the house was not wet and did not need the restoration we were trying to perform to the home owner who we had built trust with and were trying to get the house back into safe living conditions. The tech from Master Leak Detection had no equipment what so ever to measure the elevated and documented moisture levels that we found in the home but made this conclusion simply to get the insurance company out of paying and so Master Leak Detection could get the plumbing work from our plumber. I find this to be slander and will be contacting my attorney and filing a complaint against the better business bureau for this unethical and highly pathetic business practice. We will also be filing a complaint against the insurance company and their adjuster.

After a hot water slab leak identified by Master Plumbing, Mark Read is doing the re-route of hot water pipe project. He is professional and courteous. He explained to me his repair plan, and he tried to cut as few holes as possible on the dry wall. He did additional work without charge to re-route another line which is not specified in the original price quote. Mark cleans up work area carefully each day. I highly recommend Mark's work.

If I could give them ten stars I would! I phoned Master Plumbing for an appointment, they followed up the morning of the appointment to confirm their visit (a rare thing these days), and then phoned to see if they could come earlier which was great. Mario, the technician, spent almost 2.5 hours or more at my home tracking down the source of my water issue. He went above and beyond eliminating the possible causes being very thorough in his search. He finally determined the where, what and why of the cause (an abandoned drainage pipe, sealed incorrectly, blocked and broken and allowing rain water to collect under the foundation). I was relieved to know the fix would be relatively simple and the cost for the leak detection was extremely reasonable for the work performed. Thank you, Mario!

I have hired these guys on a couple occasions, the work that was done, was done well. They have a little bit of a problem keeping appointments that they make. Also the plumber that comes out has complete discretion on what to charge for the service rendered and it leads to very high pricing in my opinion. Over all this company is just ok.

I hired this company, Master Plumbing, to detect a leak in my house. They found the leak, and seemed nice about it. So I filed a claim with my homeowners insurance. Then MP supplied a report to the insurance company claiming that the leak had been going for many weeks, which the insurance company used to deny my claim. MP took no measurements of water leaking, they didn't measure humidity, no temperature. MP stated an opinion with no scientific basis, pretending to be experts in the area water leak forensics.

Then it turns out MP has an ongoing business relationship with the insurance company. When I asked for a copy of the report they supplied to the insurance company, for a visit that I paid for, the person in the office said ""I have to get permission from the insurance company first. I don't want to lose my job for not following policy."" The report even says that the insurance company was the paying customer, when they had nothing to do with me hiring MP.

I spoke to other professionals in the business since then that it's impossible to know how long the leak had been going. They said two or three days of leaks can cause mold.

Everything up to here are facts I can back up. My interpretation based on all this: MP is scared of the insurance company, scared of losing the ongoing business, so they wrote a report to help the insurance company reject my claim. You should let them work for the insurance company, hire somebody that works for you instead.

Strongly recommend this company! Jeff came out the same day and fixed my leak. He was extremely nice, very professional and he explained what was causing the leak etc. He was very knowledgeable and I would use this company again, or recommend one of my friends to them.

John (#66) came out on behalf of our USAA insurance claim for a slab leak. He was very kind, on time (actually a few minutes early), and clearly explained everything. John fixed everything in a timely and professional manner. The house was cleaned in the area and you wouldn't even known he was here. Lastly, he was even thoughtful enough to put the couch over the rough concrete patch so that our cat wouldn't walk in it. No complaints.
