I began my journey in construction before even entering high school, assisting a family friend with a home addition at the age of 13. From there, I moved on to assist a neighbor with his hangar, and I quickly found myself working on barns, sheds, remodels, and preparing rental houses and decks. Eventually, I became an Electrical Apprentice, a role I held for 2.5 years before transitioning to a Data Technician for another 2 years. I transitioned to home installations as an independent contractor for 3 years, focusing on installing electronics, appliances, switches, lights, dishes, TVs, smart home systems, surround sound, and other electrical services. Currently, I work as an on-call maintenance technician at a nursing home and a rental company, resolving issues related to drywall, plumbing, electrical work, appliance repairs, adding switches and outlets, and general maintenance tasks.
