Called to get an estimate on a broken pipe that has ruined half our two-car garage. They don't 'do estimates' and will only come out to do a complete job, paid on the spot. The entire town has suffered a huge ice storm and they had '41 calls ahead of me' because so many pipes had burst. Burst pipes can cost thousands. How many of those 41+ people have 1,000+ in the bank to throw down on a job without even knowing what's technically wrong? Without an estimate? Sorry, I need to know what's wrong with my pipes first, thanks.

If I could leave fewer stars I would. Came the first time quickly. Cashed the check. Charged and hour and a half for 20 minutes work. What they did (replace a regular faucet with a freeze proof one) NOW LEAKED the first time I used it. Called them. They'd try and ""fit me in."" 2 days later they came. Did nothing for an hour. Talked out front. Looked at pipes under my house that had nothing to do with faucet. Said it was my pipes leaking. I told them they were all NEW pipes. Oops. They then replaced the faucet because ""that's what she wants."" Left my crawl space open. Left a cement mess ALL OVER my hose and side of my house. Rude, unprofessional and expensive. Can't get worse.

We are in the middle of a bathroom remodel. I thought once we reconnected the bath, toilet and sink that the sewer fumes would go away, but they didn't. So my husband calls out Mason's.
The guy arrived and I took him to the mid remodel bathroom and explained that I often smell sewer in there. I very clearly said that the only reason we had him there was so that he could find the source of the smell and fix it.

He went under the house for a few minutes and came back and said that all the remodel plumbing was done wrong and he would need to redo it at $85 an hour. He figured it woukd take 4 hours. I asked if he could do it that day and he said yes. He said he needed to go get supplies and was going to take his child to a doctors appointment but would be back at 11 am. At 11:30 he calls to say his child's appointment ran long and he needed to go to his next appointment. But he could come back the following Friday at 1 pm.

On his scheduled day he called me at 1:34 pm and said he had just finished the job before me and was going to take a 30 minute lunch break then he would be here. This put him arriving about 2 pm.
At 6pm he says he is done and that the bill was $638. Which didn't sound right.
He then goes on to say that they had broken our kitchen sink drain ( which is not connected to the bathroom pipes he was working on) and when he was trying to fix that break the kitchen sink drain broke in another place. While he was fixing that 2nd break the pipe broke off where it goes into the ground. He said it will be at least $1,000 to fix it. And he said ""THAT IS WHERE THE SMELL IS COMING FROM...WELL A LITTLE FROM THE STUFF WE REPLACED BUT MAINLY FROM THERE"" .

I asked him if the plumbing was currently useable until I could talk to my husband and figure out the $1,000. He stated that it was fine to use.

Today my husband went under the house to look at what was going on. The plumber has dug a trench, about 6 inches deep, around where the broken pipe is. Our kitchen sewer is currently running kinda at the main line but mostly pouring out into this trench that the plumber dug and from the looks of it the main sewer might be backing up into that trench too.

So he originally told me a bunch of plumbing needed to be replaced because it was the source of the smell, when actually it was not the source of the smell. He charged me over $600 for 4 hours of work that was not even the issue. The stuff he replaced did not need to be replaced. And now he wants us to pay a minimum of $1,000 to fix the actual issue he was suppoed to be fixing in the first place? What the heck? I feel like we just got the worste service ever and seriously taken advantage of.

Needless to say I will be fixing the actual issue myself before I call them again.
