Mason & Son Plumbing has catered to the peninsula for more than five decades. At first, we were known as Budlong & Gregg Services, focused on customer service and craftsmanship. Eventually, the name changed to Budlong Plumbing & Heating and maintained the same offerings as in the past. In the 1980s, Mason Corrick took the reins after many years with Raymond, continuing the same quality as before. With a focus on client satisfaction and excellence in service, the business thrived. In the late 80s, I, myself, joined full-time with my parent, eager to absorb skills from the best teacher I know, “Thank you, Dad”. My commitment in leading the company in 2002 is clear and remains much the same as before: to deliver top-notch workmanship at a fair price. Walter B.By far the most thorough plumber i have ever had. We live in and old house with cast iron pipes which clog frequently. Normally other plumbers fix immediate clog in 10 minutes and leave. This guy was all over house, removed toilet, jogged up the steps to save time and snaked pipes from the road. The cost was much lower than expected and drainage better than ever. This is our new plumber!!!

Kevin W.We had another HVAC company come out and assess why our heater kept turning off. They determined that the only way to fix it was to replace the electrical wiring and breaker (expensive). They also said it would be about a week before they could bring out an electrician; a week of no heat for my family. I asked Mason & Son to come out for a second opinion and I am really glad I did. After about 5 minutes of I investigating, the technician found that the wrong heat strips had been installed and it was a relatively easy fix - no need for running new wire. He also, as a courtesy checked both my HVAC systems and topped them off with refrigerant at my request. Our tech was super knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing. Thank you again! We will be calling them out for support and preventative maint in the future.
Terry G.We had an emergency plumbing problem, and called Mason & Son Plumbing based on their Yelp Reviews. Chris was here within 20 minutes and had the problem repaired in an hour. Very pleased with their service and the quality of the work that was done.

Walt Z.The only good thing I can say about this company is that they were able to quickly schedule the work we needed.
We were provided with a quote on how much the company 'estimated' their fee would be for the work to be performed. However, when the job actually took far less time than the quote envisioned, the owner of the company stated that the quote was actually an invoice. This despite stating in writing (in the quote) that the hourly labor rate as $125 per hour but charging $195.45 per hour. Buyer beware.
His next great customer service act was to demand immediate payment (a policy his staff was certainly unaware of!). As a business, we are used to dealing with 15-day billing cycle for all invoices but this guy ends up sending his daughter (and granddaughter) to collect a check within the hour.
Here's the thing, I'm not sure that working outside in this heat even though it was in a fairly cool crawlspace, that his men didn't earn $195.45 per hour but don't quote one thing and then, when the facts don't support the charges, pretend that I should find such unethical practices acceptable!

From my initial contact to the completion of annual maintenance they were consistently professional courteous and timely. Robert my HVAC technician displayed outstanding knowledge of the profession and explained all the readings on the refrigeration unit as he went along and cleaned it. I highly recommend this to anybody in the area as I will definitely be using them again.

Carlos H.Problem: I did not have hot water in my kitchen. However, I did have hot water upstairs. Charles came out and seemed very professional. He came out on a Tuesday and ran a new water line downstairs to fix the issue, but that did not work. Charles has been coming by the house for the last four days going to other jobs and coming back but I still do not have hot water, and the issue has not been resolved. I called the company, and the representative told me he would be coming out today with no specific time, very professional. Today is Monday, I still don't have hot water, and Charles has not shown up. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Great companies provide superior service, and they will do anything to complete the job.
