Don't use Marv's Plumbing EVER!
The manager of this place is a sexist moron. And he just likes arguing and creating problems, as opposed to solving a problem and taking care of good people.
And he likes to sound condescending and make accusations to people who are just trying to make things right for themselves.
I can tell by the tone in his voice he was enjoying the fact that he was being rude and condescending to me, and he wasn't ever planning on listening to me and trying to help.
Not to mention the fact that on their first visit they left a bunch of plumbing parts and trash in my nice bathroom trash can.
Took them THREE visits to solve a leak. And now they're saying there wasn't a leak in the first place. Wow!
Terrible terrible service.
Stay far far away.

We had a septic lift pump quit last night. I called Marv's at 7:45 this morning and they had a man here before noon. He fixed the problem and showed me how it happened, how to prevent it, and how to fix it myself it it happens again. The bill was half what I was expecting based on work we had done on the same system by another company two years ago. Marv's replaced our water heater five years ago and I was happy with that job too.

You can trust Marv's Plumbing.
My house is 100 years old - and so is the plumbing:) Since I bought the house, I have had drainage issues, basement problems, water main questions, sewage backups and storm water run off that didn't really run off! I've hired countless plumbers to help me. Then, a friend recommended Marvs!
Dave came to the rescue, after two of my sump pumps stopped working and I was shop vac-ing water for days.
He realized the pumps were not only broken but they were the wrong pumps. He installed new ones as well as alarms so that if the power went out (or for any other reason the pumps stopped working)-- I would know!
He was generous with his time and explained what was going on. He sent someone out to check on it the next day.
His bill was very reasonable.
In this climate, water is a constant threat to our homes and property and we must be proactive. Don't worry, though. Let the experts handle it!
Marv's plumbing has the answers for you!

After installing a new kitchen sink, I called Marv's to plumb all the drains in. He arrived ahead of schedule and was done in an hour. He did a great job, was personable and a good representative for his company. Would recommend them for home repairs and I will definitely use them the next time the need arises. At $230.00, this less than half the lowest of 5 quotes from another local plumber.

Tech showed up to clear a sewage line. Cleared it but problem wasn't solved. Second tech arrived and discovered home has two sewage lines. My issue with Marv's is that I had a question re: my invoice and was told I'd receive a call back. No call. Statement arrived and I called with my question. I was told I'd get a call back. No call. Another statement arrived and I called back. Again told I'd receive a call back. No call. This week (4 months after my initial all) I received another statement with a collection threat and finance charges applied. Dave finally responded via email but no one has bothered to pick up the phone or engage in an adult conversation. Buyer beware.

On Friday the water heater at Promise burst. I called Marv's and within 2 hours you had someone out to look at it and a water heater in place. I realize your busy schedule and so appreciate you moving so quickly for us.
Thank you so much.

I had a clogged sewer line at my rental home. So I called around and got Marv's to come out the same day. They spent a few hours on it and the bill was pretty reasonable. Other companies I have used want to charge you 500. for a new kitchen faucet. That is just wrong. Marv's is honest and hard - working guys. They deserve to get paid a fair price for a tough job. I would recommend them for sure.

After I had purchased a big bath tub, I was always running out of hot water. When I called Marvs, Dave really worked around my work schedule to help
and to advise me what kind of water heater I would need. I was in the middle of renovating my laundry room with a new floor etc., so I had other things going on as well. All the guys at Marvs were punctual and professional and really worked well around my little dog and the renovating. I can't say enough nice things about these guys. Thank you so much Dave, Jason, Jacob and Matt!!!!!!

Like many others have noted, feel taken advantage by this company.
After arriving at our home and looking at our problem, was told he did not have the materials needed to fix the problem. I would have to pay for him to pick materials up and return. Decided not to go that way and when asked about cost, was told he could not provide and I would be billed later. The person was at our house just less than an hour.
When I received the bill later in the mail was billed for two hours, when I questioned was told that was his ""travel time"" even though I am only 15 minutes from the center of the City. Never was told that there was a $100 travel time fee that would be added to my bill. $200 for something they could not fix - watch out for these guys!!!

I had work done by Marv's Plumbing and they were able to come out the next day even though there was no rush.
I was told on the phone that I'd be able to get an estimate of the work I wanted done once the technician arrived, but when he did, he said he didn't do the billing and that Dave did, so he couldn't give me an estimate. I asked him how long it would take and he said and hour or so. Based on reviews, I estimated the cost myself at $90 an hour plus parts, and told him to go ahead. They did charge $90 per hour.
He was at our home for less than 2.25 hours (closer to 2). However, when I received the bill, I was charged for 3.25 hours.
I called:
3/3/15 - Spoke to Dave who said he'd look into it and get back to me
3/6/15 - Left a message as I hadn't heard anything
[called a couple times in between, but kept getting the answering machine and didn't leave more messages]
3/13/15 - After a flurry of calls to and from Dave and Michelle, I was finally informed that they charge time for the drive time and they accidentally charged me an extra half-hour. I let them know the technician got lost and called me for directions on the way here and they knocked the bill down by another 15 minutes for that time.
The work seems decent, but the billing and customer service is unacceptable and I will not be using their services again.
