Martins plumbing performed a professional installation of a 50 gallon, electric, hot water heater.

BEWARE!
They charge a $175 to get a permit from the city that costs $42 here in Franklin, WI if you get the permit yourself. I was told it was $175 for each permit up front, but the costs were not broken down. I was not told Martins Plumbing charges an extra $133 for them to get the permits online. (Probably 10 minutes work.)

So, for two permits I paid $350 I could have gotten for $84 myself.

Our 2nd floor toilet and tub were backing up on a Saturday morning hours before quests were to arrive that afternoon . I called Martins Plumbing and he was over in 20 minutes. He did a great job unclogging the main stack and making sure the bathroom was cleaned before he left. His cost was very reasonable and I would highly recommend him.

Be warned. Marty came to our home for a bid on a bathroom remodel. He was very personable and told us he could do what we asked. I'm an Interior Designer and worked with a Design Build firm for 5 years. My husband and I had a list and drawings of what we needed to be completed. Marty assured us that he could do everything on our list. We also had a reference from my husbands co-worker.
Marty said he could do what we asked in two weeks and it would be $6000 to $8000, but we would buy all the materials and he would just provide the labor. Once we had everything he would be ready to install and give us an exact amount for the cost of the work.
We contacted him and had him return before we chose anything and he assured us again that he would be ready when everything was purchased. I contacted Kristy to make sure I had a tile layout that was acceptable. She told me that I needed to use a brick lay because that was what Marty was most comfortable with.
My husband and I purchased the necessary materials and called Marty and asked for an install date and a final estimate. We asked several times and found it harder and harder to contact them. Finally the day before our agreed upon install date. I called to get a final cost and the starting time. I was then told the cost would be $21000 dollars and take six weeks. Our bathroom is a 5' x 8' bathroom. We purchased all the materials. When I explained that Marty had given us a bid of $8000, she told me it was the tile I chose. I told her the tile was similar to the one I started with.
Just be careful, get a quote in writing before purchasing. Learn from my mistakes.
