I had Martin Plumbing in Smyrna, TN. install a tank less water outside my house. This tank less water heater has been nothing but a headache and Martin Plumbing did not install this properly and would freeze up on cold days. I contacted Martin Plumbing and they will not return my calls and they don't want to admit they talked me into a outside water that does not work properly. The outside unit has not been installed properly and you can see it is not secured to the outside wall the way it should be. There excuse for not calling me back was the unit did not have a warranty for this install. They talked me into installing this outside my house. several other plumbers I had do repairs on this tank less water heater asked ""why did Martin put this unit outside"". I would not recommend Martin Plumbing for anything they do.

My wife and I bought a ""new build"" in Smyrna 7.5 years ago and have been replacing the contractor grade appliances and fixtures ever since. We called Martins to get a quote on replacing some plumbing fixtures and supply lines in both bathrooms because the cheapest ""PEX"" fittings and plastic supply lines available had started to leak. The receptionist at Martins said that the guys there like to start early and asked if 7:00am would be too early for an estimate quote to be done. At 7:00am on the dot, Martins' guy, Mike, was ringing our doorbell. In less than an hour, Mike gave us a written estimate and was ready to leave. We decided to use Martins to do the work and called the next morning to schedule the work to be done. A few day later, again at 7:00am, one of Martins' plumbers named Cody was parked in our driveway. In just over two hours Cody completed the work and was ready to go to the next job. Cody could not have been better. He was professional, friendly, very clean and neat, and left the bathroom's cabinets and counter-tops in excellent condition. Best of all, no leaks!
I am glad to recommend Martins to anyone in need of plumbing jobs to be done.

I had Martins come out on Jan. 26th for a quote for a new HVAC unit and some plumbing things. Christian came out with one of his employees. Everything went fine got the quotes. Fast forward to now, I called mid-April to schedule them to come out for a HVAC unit. They stated I needed a new quote which I understood. One of his employees came out and gave a quote 900 more than previously quoted which I understand as they said parts and things went up. We agreed to 6000 even, quote was for 6200 originally, but the 6000 did not include another vent being placed in the back room. After the unit was installed, I went out and saw it had several places on 3 of the 4 sides that were smashed or split in the coils in all different areas. There were couple scratches on the front and a burn mark on the top piece of the unit. I called the office spoke with the lady that I had just handed a 6000.00 cashier check to and told her my concern. She said it was fine. I told her I was concerned as I did not buy a scratch and dent unit and had worked hard to save my money to get this. Her reply, ""we all work hard for our money"". She texted me after that and said ""the owner"" Christian and a crew member would be out 2 days later on Thursday. Thursday morning came and the crew showed up, but the owner wasn't present. I called the office to let them know as they are 1 minute from my home which was another reason I chose them beside from trying to support small businesses and mom and pops places. Christian came flying up in his big red truck approx 5 min after the phone call. He came around to the back yard where myself and his employees where at. His first words, ""I heard you are giving my people hell"". I said, ""no sir I haven't even spoke with anyone except the lady in the office that was rude"". He stated as he was looking at my unit, ""this is nothing you better be glad it didn't have more damage than this, they can comb those areas out."" I asked him about the scratches and the burn mark as I saw it in the box on the truck and told him it must have been damaged prior en route except for the burn mark. He continued to be rude and unprofessional stating ""I have a 5 star rating and I knew I shouldn't have gave you a discount"". I told him he did not give a discount that they did not install the other vent that was quoted for 6200 and we agreed on 6000. I was concerned about buying a new unit that was scratched, burned, and smashed in several areas. He said well they can comb it out, you'll get a new top in a week or two and stomped off to his truck like a child. I was standing there in shock over how he talked to me and what he had just said after spending such a large amount of money. It is concerning as aggressive as Christian was that if this had been a bigger problem or a bigger problem arises I definitely wouldn't want him at my home. His employee apologized for him stating, ""he's just hot headed and has a lot on him right now, I'm so sorry"". I told him it wasn't his fault, and I feel bad for them if he treats paying customers like this I can only imagine how he treats them. All his workers were very nice and understanding. When the new top piece came in, a employee just showed up at my house unannounced and banged on the door waking my elderly mother up as I was only gone 15 min taking my daughter to school and was aware they were coming as no one called. Had it not been for that incident I would say all of his employees were professional. I don't think anyone should just show up to your home. I would not recommend this business for HVAC or plumbing because if you have a problem with the job then you will have to deal with him. He is very intimidating, rude, and aggressive just unprofessional and sells damaged units. The areas are still smashed and do not really look any different from before ""they combed them"".

This company really is as good as it gets! They treat you like family by getting the work done quickly, correctly, and quoting you the lowest possible price. They were friendly and professional but also able to communicate in a way that was easy to understand. I would recommend this company to anyone. They redid all of the duct work in my crawl space to bring it up to code and helped identify and fix a root cause problem to water in my duct work. Nothing but incredible things to say!
