THEY COST AN ARM AND A LEG! But you don't find that out until they get there... Just want to give you a heads-up about Marshall Plumbing, located in Dawsonville. They came to my place recently and charged me an arm and a leg just to replace a plastic flange in a toilet. Marshall doesn't charge to come out, but they charge $225 just to take the toilet up to see what is wrong. After they took up the toilet, they charged $179 to replace a plastic flange!! The total was $404. Since their repairman was already there and I had to decide immediately, and it is difficult to arrange repair work being here part time, I told him to go ahead and replace the flange. (Otherwise, I'm out $225 just to find out that the flange was broken.) $404 seemed pretty pricey to me to replace a flange, but I didn't realize how pricey until I looked online. Home Advisor stated that the whole job of replacing a flange should cost from $145 to $165. The flanges I saw online cost from $5 to $35, with most of them between $10 and $20. Marshall charged me $179 for a flange they probably buy en masse for $5 or $10. I called Marshall to complain and ask for something off. They offered $25 back, making it around $380, still over twice the average cost. I pushed back but that was the best they would do. Granted, they didn't have to offer anything off, so I appreciate getting something back, but they still made a heck of a lot for a simple job. The last time I needed a plumber for my bathroom was around 12 years ago to install a new toilet. (A plumber's snake has saved a few calls.) The NEW TOILET and installation cost around $250 to $300, which was more than $100 less than Marshall charged just to replace a flange. I figured prices had gone up since then, but I should have done my homework to get an idea. OTOH, I didn't know what the problem was until they examined the toilet, at the cost of $225. I could have bought a new toilet and had it installed for less than Marshall charged just to replace a flange. Marshalls's repairman did the work OK, but I recommend that you shop around and find a better deal - it shouldn't be hard.

Best plumber ever. Quick is an understatement. Reasonably priced to the say least. Mike was sheer awesomeness. He stayed until the job was done even though it was already well past their closing time. I think his exact words were """"I couldn't sleep if a family doesn't have water."""" Wow. Just wow. I have a few other plumbing needs in my house and now I know who I'm going to call for all of them.

The team at Marshall Plumbing are Real professionals! I was favorably impressed with their hard work and the quality finished project. If I need a plumber in the future, that will be my first call!

They did not tell us they would be charging to come look at our water leak problem. When they were done, not only could they not determine where the water was leaking from, but they left us an invoice for $169.00. I wrote them an email today and told them I would not pay it, because I was not informed beforehand there would be any charges, which would have allowed me to make the decision to have them come out or not. They wrote me a very unprofessional email back, basically saying we have bad business practices. Deceitful, name calling and unprofessional. I would not use them.

Homeownership is a love/hate relationship. There are good times and definitely bad times. Reaching out to a plumber, unfortunately, is one of those bad times. Fortunately, Mike of Marshall Plumbing made it a good experience for us. There was a leak in the yard that the county determined wasn't their problem, so that meant the burden of repair was on us. We called Mike and he was able to make it out the next afternoon and confirmed the county's diagnosis. He did the repair at an unbelievable price and in a timely manner which made both my husband and I very happy. I always get heart palpitations when there is a repair needed because you never quite know the extent of the costs. I always like to support small businesses and this is one company that has earned a spot in my phone contacts. If you're looking for a good Plumber in the Johns Creek/Alpharetta area, I fully endorse him.

John at Marshall Plumbing is as good as they come. He is a great plumber and brings outstanding satisfaction and customer service along with his quality workmanship. I needed him on short notice on two different issues in a two week period and he worked us in to his busy schedule. He is a hardworking guy that believes in doing an excellent job and treating people fair. I will definitely have him on speed dial as my Plumber of choice.

This is a small shop, and they're really concerned with building solid customer relationships. They'll explain every step of the repair process and were right on target with their estimate. They did external irrigation work for me, and did an excellent job repairing the yard and saving the sod.

Mike Marshall came to my rescue when I really needed help. I had called a national plumbing company to fix a problem with my water heater. They came, misdiagnosed the problem, fixed the symptom but not the cause so within 6 months, the problem was back. This time, they gave the correct diagnosis and wanted double what they had charged earlier. I refused and settled for a local plumber who was very polite but was completely confused on what to do to fix my problem. He ended up making the problem worse. Then I got hold of Mike, he did exactly what he said he would do. He fixed everything as promised for a fare price. I am a loyal customer for life and would call on him anytime I have a plumbing problem. Just wished I got hold of him earlier, I would have saved a lot of money. Thanks, Mike.

Mike Marshall handled my toilet repairs with a professional manner and a very reasonable price. Showed up on time, called ahead of arrival and handled every part of his job well. I am his new customer. Thanks, Mike.

First call, I told them we had to shut off my eldery mothers water to the house due to a leak and needed a new water line run. He said he was busy, could come tomorrow and would call me back that day. He didn't. I called back at 5:30 and he said he was still on a job but would call me back. He didn't. I called him the next day and he said he couldn't come untill tomorrow. I said if I had know that I would have called another company. He started arguing that it didn't matter because the job couldn't be done in one day. I explained that I knew what was involved in having a line installed and that I had already contacted, and had the power and phone lines marked. He hung up on me!! To be honest, I couldn't tell you if they do good work or not. But their customer service and follow up is below substandard.
