Had a new water heater and central heat/air installed in our 20 year old modular. The service was amazing and everything is working great. What a relief from the heat of August!
Kevin was so thorough and professional. He even came back the following day (his day off) just to check with us and make sure everything was the way we wanted it.

Marraccini installed a new a/c unit in my house prior to purchase. When I moved in it didn't cool the house at all. I called and was told there was a three week wait before they could send a tech. After three hot weeks their tech arrived and told me it was just a dirty filter and replaced it, charging me $140 and left. The air conditioning still didn't work and I called them back. A different tech came three days later and replaced a capacitor for the fan, telling me it *should* fix the problem. It did not. After calling a third time I was told it would be another 3 week wait. 6 weeks in the middle of summer, waiting for (and being charged for) warranty work on an a/c unit they installed. I called Ultimate Air in Fernley who sent a tech out an hour later and found the issue almost immediately (low refrigerant). Cool air ever since.

They quoted me over $2200 to put a swamp cooler up. Mind you we had already purchased the swamp cooler/motor and water line and there was an existing switch in our home as well as duct work from the previous cooler. The only thing we needed extra was a roof jack. While the guy was at my home he actually suggested that in the meantime I could go to Walmart and get a window unit and just return it. Not cool, that's dishonest as all heck. Even if their price was reasonable I wouldn't have had them do the work because of that comment. They told me their price was so high because of them being licensed HVAC and all and calling a handyman maybe a better option. I called another licensed HVAC company the next day they came out and estimated it and did the job for $600.

Had this company do a little work at my home. When their work failed a couple years later I had a different company come in and fix the problem. They asked how much I paid for the original service and they were amazed how much I was charged. Get a second opinion before you shell out big bucks to these guys!

No complaints on my end more of a thank you very much for the great service. The tech came over and with in 15min he was able to tell what the problem was with my gas water heater. He called the warranty company got my part order. We did an overnight order and the tech was checking-in to make sure part arrived. Great service, friendly, and fast.

After a very large bill of 500.00 and the tech being at our home for over 3 hours the system worked for a couple times until the season was over ,then when needed again in the summer we found it empty and we did some research to find we paid for a recharge only for 500.00 because when the system empties it has a leak but the tech never looked or couldn't find the leak only to charge us for a recharge knowing we would need another service very very soon! kind of feel duped , so we contacted Arenello heating and air and they actually repaired the system and charged it for less than the fee charged to temporarily fix the system!! would not recommend them to anyone. contacted Marraccini to try to rectify the problem only to be told we would be contacted about our concerns , but were never called again, dropped ball on our problem! no service after the sale.

My Air Conditioning went out in the middle of August. I called Marraccini and the receptionist was friendly. The service tech was fast and very friendly. The tech explained to me that to tell me what is wrong was going to cost $60. I agreed and I think that is fair.

The problem was a capacitor (start capacitor I think). I Googled this capacitor and it cost less than $15 dollars. My bill was almost $300! It only took the tech 5 minutes to replace this part so I paid WAY too much for parts and labor.

I would have been ok paying another $60 flat rate labor and even up to $30 for a $15 part but $300 was pure greed.

I get a ""clog"" between my washing machine and my septic tank. When the washing machine spins, there is water the flows out from a drain in front of my house. I called Marraccini and they sent someone out to snake the drain. The guy only had a 40 foot snake that was run by a power drill that would fit my 2 inch pipe. They guy worked hard and made a sincere effort to clean the drain, but when he was done, he told me that maybe I had roots in my sewer line or maybe I had a broken pipe and that I might need to have my concrete floors jack hammered up and the sewer line replaced. Also, when the washing machine ran, it would also had water flowing out of the pipe that my washing machine would drain into.

When we called Marraccini they were no help with the problem and repeated the information that I had been told previously.

It was a mess that I could not ""just live with"" and there was no way I could afford someone to jack hammer up my floors and replace the sewer line. I had no other problem with my sewer line, except the washing machine. I was stuck trying to solve the problem my self. After a number of different efforts, I was able to fix the problem. It took a $25 snake from Lowe's that would make the corner where the pipe from washing machine to the sewer line. The snake had dog hair on the end and the water no longer ran out that pipe when I used the washing machine.

I then rented a larger snake from Louie's Hardware in Fallon for $20 and snaked the drain from outside. I had a bunch of black stuff on the end.

Ta-da! No more backup from the sewer when I ran the washing machine.

I paid Marraccini $300 to fix a problem, got the wrong answer, and fixed the problem myself, after a whole lot of messing around, for $45.

Marraccini has been our go-to place for all plumbing needs for years and years and years. So who do you call when it is 9:00 Thanksgiving evening and the water is backing up in the kitchen sink and the detritus of our turkey dinner is congealing on the counter? We call our good friend Steve!

When we first moved to Yerington people told us not to call Marraccini's because they were too expensive. ""Call my cousin ---- he can come over when he gets out on bail and will not charge much if you pay him cash."" OhhhKaaaay!

They are expensive, but they always do good work, come when they say they will (even at 9:00 on Thanksgiving) and follow-up with any problems. They are professional and take the time to really explain the mysteries of plumbing and what we need to do to prevent them from coming back again.

While I am hoping we will never need to use them again, if we do have a plumbing malfunction, we will call them.
