I moved to Southern California in 1992, leaving my position as a grocery store manager. I began my career as a lot attendant at a Home Depot in Escondido, where I was hired in the parking lot for my first plumbing position, which offered $0.25 more per hour. I began my journey as a laborer for a prominent commercial plumbing company that handled new construction. I enrolled in night classes and utilized my management background in plumbing, swiftly rising to foreman, then project manager, and eventually becoming a licensed plumbing contractor. I worked for various plumbing companies, covering commercial, custom homes, and residential service and repair. When the economy took a downturn and I was laid off, I reached out to my contacts and began plumbing for custom home projects in 2002. Currently, Marklein Plumbing focuses on residential new construction, remodels, and offers expert service, repair, and drain cleaning.
