The dad Scanlon came and left the place filthy every time. We had him do many projects at our house on different occasions. The few he left a total mess for us to clean up. The next one he installed a laundry sink in the basement that flooded the basement a week later and we had to fix it ourselves. The next one (yes, we used him again because we were desperate) he installed a garbage disposal and he left the old, rusted and disgusting one on our front step, didn't mention it or leave a note, just left it there. I also believe that he is a gossip and talks badly about people from one client to the next. I don't know a stronger word than unprofessional, but we will not be using him again.

Good work. Good communication. Always sucks having plumbing issues, but great to have a dependable skilled service oriented company to rely on.

Waterfalls are pretty. They are refreshing. Except when they are in your kitchen, which was what was happening each time we showered upstairs. The first plumber we called came in, declared it a shower pan issue, asked us to have the ceiling opened up and to call our homeowners insurance. Thousands of dollars to fix. Then he never returned our calls and texts.

Enter Mark Scanlon, who was referred by friends. We told Mark what the other plumber said, he asked a few questions and said...maybe a shower pan. Let's take a look. First, he found where our shower was spraying back into the wall where caulk had deteriorated. ""Let's fix the obvious first and see."" We let it cure for 4 hours as he directed. Unfortunately, did not work. He came back. Looked, poked. Opened up more of our kitchen ceiling. Aha! Rubber connecter between old pipes had cracked. Also, old pipes very full of calcium sediment. Best part? He was able to make the repair without ripping up the shower above. Shower works perfectly, drains better than it ever did, and it did not cost us an actual arm or leg nor did we have to file a homeowner's claim nor spend as much as a pan would have cost.

Mark is a very laid back, reasonable man. I liked that he did not jump to a conclusion and that he approached it with a 'fix the most obvious first' mindset, going from simplest to most complex. Good guy. He's also a volunteer firefighter, so he does good beyond indoor waterfall abatement. Highly recommend him.
