I can see why they have such good ratings. Had a tech come out to cost out a battery backup for my sump pump and fix a toilet issue. Less than 2 hrs later I had the battery backup installed along with a new toilet. Yes, their prices are on the expensive side but the tech was great and I felt confident if there were any issues they would address it. I appreciated the techs professionalism and honesty. Will definitely use again.

The did a faucet replacement without authorization and their prices are ridiculous. I used to use them knowing I would pay a little bit more but knowing they had good quality work until their prices went up even more and they started doing repairs without telling me first. $250 to replace a faucet.

They also have the strangest reason for passing on the credit card fee. I don't mind if a company discloses that you have to pay a fee, but their reasoning is that they are not allowed to pay the fee on the part of the customer because of some lawsuit that I don't believe exists.

Really impressed with the work that was done by Marines. Pricing was fair. Shawn was kind, efficient and knowledgeable. We had a sump-pump battery backup installed. Shawn explained why our current setup was inefficient, quickly remedied our situation and installed the back-up. What I also liked was that he identified potential future problems for us to keep an eye on (older water heater). However he did not force me into buying anything. That was refreshing.

I will call Marines again (hopefully not too soon) and even ask for Shawn!

Shawn R. and his colleague came to address the drain backing up in my areaway. Turned out to be my sump pump not working. They found the problem and addressed it quickly. I suppose the price was reasonable although I can't honestly say as I didn't have time to compare. Very knowledgeable, honest, friendly and no pressure sales tactics. We would definitely use Marines Plumbing again.

These guys really came through for me when I badly needed their help. I recently retired to Arizona, and my Alexandria home was on the market. My previous neighbor noticed that my sump was running, and contacted our realtor, who contacted me. I called Marines, and they managed to assess the problem, get the required permits, replace our water main, and have it inspected in an amazingly short time. The following week, there was another problem which, it turned out, was caused by the landscaper. Marines plumbing sent a technician out within 45 minutes, and his assessment allowed us to properly attribute the problem to the landscaper and to start corrective action. I just received an invoice from Marines for that fast response assessment, for the amount of $0.00. These guys are fast, efficient, highly competent, and competitively priced. What more can you ask for?

We did not have a great experience with them and I regret not calling the previous plumber who snaked and hydrojetted our main sewer line. We contacted Marines Plumbing for a backed up kitchen sink. It has been draining very slowly but we can still use it if we don't use too much water. The plumber came in and we told him we thought it might be a clogged vent and he says it might be a clogged pipe and so we had him snake our waste line. Our sink trap he said is not up to code and that he was not sure if he could get it off. My husband took out the sink trap and the plumber then proceeded to snaking the line. He did clear some blockages because my husband said that when he pulled the snake he found roots and stuff. This means we have to have our waste line repaired. The problem is that after he is done snaking the line, he put the sink trap back in and it was leaking. It was not leaking before he had done any work on it. So now we could not use the sink at all because it is just leaking all over. I understand that our sink trap is not up to code but it was not leaking before and we could definitely use it but now we can't even test if the snaking that the plumber did at least helped the backing up problem. There is just too much water leaking from under the sink now. For this reason, we do not recommend them.

The go-to plumbing company in the Fairfax area! Marines Plumbing puts a heavy emphasis on customer service and quality. Trevor and Steven did a fantastic job helping me to quickly locate and determine the cause of my leak. They patiently explained my options and had the leak fixed in no time flat. I hope Marines Plumbing branches into other residential trades (e.g., electrical) because I would use them in a heart beat.
