The waste line from our kitchen and laundry room, embedded under our slab foundation, were leaking and needed to be replaced - but we didn't want to destroy our new flooring. Marco came up with a great solution to efficiently bypass, took care of the permits and inspections, and his team did really great work at a very fair price. We are very pleased and will not hesitate to work with him and his team again!

If there were more than 5 Stars, I would certainly give them to Marco Polo Plumbing. I had a major water leak from the bathroom in my rental house in San Francisco. Several well known plumbers came out and told me that the problem was behind the tile wall. The pedestal sink needed to be moved out, the tile wall broken out to fix the pipe, a handyman would then have to be called to fix the tile wall, and the plumber would then need to be called back to replace the sink (I had bought a vanity sink to replace the pedestal sink). Both companies provided exorbitant estimates. I decided to search the internet and found Marco Polo Plumbing since they were local, and had perfect 5 star reviews on Yelp and on Google. Marko and Mario from Marco Pole Plumbing came out and did a fantastic job and were very reasonable. A surprise was that they did the tiling also (great job). I expressed surprise that they also did tiling - Marko replied that their philosophy is to be able to do a complete job without having to call out other people to fix the wall, wheter it was tile or sheetrock. The new subway tiles were slightly larger than the original ones and Marko, not daunted, cut them to size on his tile cutter. Both of them work as a team and I could not be more satisfied with both the plumbing and with the tiling. Highly recommend them!!!

Marko and Mario have completed two separate plumbing jobs for us and we couldn't be more pleased in doing business with them! They were recommended to us by Warm Solutions when we needed a plumber to install a gas line to our existing fireplace for a gas log insert. They did a perfect job... working in our finished basement and the gas line is hardly noticeable. We received other bids from plumbers, but Marco Polo plumbing was the best value and they offered (unlike the other plumbers) to repair areas of the Sheetrock where they needed to cut to complete the job. They did it perfectly!
The other job they completed was installing a new water heater. We did a lot of research trying to find the best water heater... it was the exactly what Marko had recommended. He provided two clear options for 'on demand' or a traditional water heater.
He's obviously a perfectionist and recommends doing everything the right way...
We will be using him again to install a gas line to our outdoor fire pit... and for ALL of our plumbing needs.
I highly recommend Marco Polo plumbing for all your plumbing needs!

I'm a property manager in San Francisco and I use Marko for all my plumbing related repairs. I am 100% satisfied with his work and the fact that he is easy to communicate with. He always shows up with a smile and jumps right in and fixes the issues big or small. His prices are fair and he's easy to work with. I highly recommend him and his associates.

These guys are so amazing! Genuinely nice, very experienced, and very professional. For me not only did they fix what some other Bay Area plumbers had done very poorly, the repairs also lowered my water bill. So the savings will pay for the total cost in little time. Further it was such a pleasure to work with Marco and Mario. Highly recommend them and would use them again!

Highly Recommend
Marco and his crew have now provided services twice on my home projects and I could not be more pleased.
First time around I had contacted a number of plumbers for pricing and he was the most responsive and reasonable. The work was completed on schedule ( including permitting / inspection).
Second time around he and his crew ran into some existing value issues and did not give up till they had a options and a solution.
He shows up when he says he will, stays till the work is complete ( and cleans up ) and holds to his quotes.

I'm very impressed with this company! Marco and Mario came here yesterday, a Sunday, when I had a clogged drain pipe. It turned out to be something highly unusual, something Marco said he hadn't seen in his 20 years in business. They skillfully and methodically figured out exactly what the problem was among quite a few possibilities. And they kept at it for more than 2 hours until they fixed the situation. I really appreciate their skills and perseverance. I definitely will use this company all the time now, and I'm happy to recommend them.

Reliable, responsive, and very professional. Installed a gas line from my meter to my fireplace through the attic. And didn't charge an exorbitant amount to do it like some companies out there wanted to.

Marko has worked on my condo multiple times - projects both big and small. He is the ultimate professional. His work is impeccable, he solves the most complex problems and he always leaves the space as clean. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Best plumber in SF!

Starting some time last week my main water shutoff valve to my toilet started failing. Even though we're shelter in place for COVID right now, a toilet is rather a P0 emergency issue.
Marco came by, replaced the water shutoff, the fill valve, and the flapper, all for the quoted price, no hidden gimmicks or costs.
As I was writing the check I asked ""oh since while you're here, can you give me any pointers on my kitchen sink's drain?""
You see, for 5-7 years or so, the drain has been backed up. I gave up after hiring 3 prior roto-rooter services which were unable to resolve the issue. The last one told me the pipe was corroded shut and they'd charge $12k to fix it. Seeing how I don't own the house, I declined. I then forwarded this to my landlord who basically said tough luck, not going to help you, you still have a bathroom sink.
So just about 7 years now without a kitchen sink, but since I'm in SF I can't move due to my grandfathered rent, so I just deal.
Then along comes Marco. The first professional to ask, can I take a look outside? All 3 prior services only tried snaking directly from the sink drain pipe. Marco's curiosity needed to know why it wouldn't drain, and that corrosion was unlikely. I brought him to the back where he located my drain pipes. This whole time I was told they were within the walls! Nope, they were right there, with an access point to get closer down the line. Marco was quick to point out the design inefficiencies, the 90 degree angle which makes snaking next to impossible.
Within 90 minutes of his arrival, my toilet was once again fully functioning, better than ever (sounds like a freakin V8 of toilets), and resolved a 7yr clogged drain issue. He went above and beyond anyone else. 4th times a charm? Needless to say I've been doing dishes all night!
Thank you Marco!! You rock man! Hope to see you when this coronavirus stuff is all over.
