Peter is the best. His pricing is reasonable; he follows through on what he says; his workmanship is terrific; and most importantly, he's honest. Peter worked on a building rehab for me and he was on time, on budget and easy to work with. He handled a bathroom remodel, a bathroom add, room addition as well as some new walls and cosmetic repairs.

Peter's a rarity. Once you use him you won't use another contractor. Almost hate putting a review on yelp for him because he'll get busy and the secret will be out. But got to give credit where credit is due!

I met Peter Cho a few years ago when a friend recommended him for a complex job... triplex in Silver Lake (aka vigilant neighbors) with major foundation issues (as well as the usual cosmetic issues) AND in the City's REAP program. On top of that, I had a unique loan that had unique requirements that most contractors would not be able to meet. I met with several contractors but as soon as I met Peter with my architect friend and engineer, I knew he was ""the one"" because he was professional, technologically savvy, organized, fair in price, and creative in problem solving. The project took 9+ months for basically redoing 1 building's foundation, gutting everything, installing custom steel windows (Peter figured out a way to install them while maximizing waterproofing/future leakage) when no other window or historic rehab contractor would take the job, installing vintage doors (harder than installing new doors), roofing, complete electrical, copper repiping, moving stairs, raising ceilings, hardwood and marble flooring, tiling all around, painting, installing fixtures, etc. Peter did an amazing job coordinating with the architect, engineer and pulling permits and working with 3 sets of inspectors - 1 set from the City's Dept of Building & Safety, 1 set from the City's Housing Dept, and 1 guy from the lender. A herculean feat, for sure, and I am soooooo glad Peter was on my side. Through it all, he was patient with my stubborn vision (e.g., no vinyl windows, no budget for new wood or steel windows, so custom refurbishment of old steel windows), even if it meant more headache for him. I truly appreciate him, even years later, for being my hero through that project. We are friends now, and anytime I need contractor help, he's the 1st person I call. He's also done a ton of work for local non-profits because he has a heart of gold. I've also referred Peter to my friends, and they are always impressed by his professionalism and pure heart.

Btw, when it comes to contractors, there are 3 qualities that one will strive to find -- low price, speedy completion, and quality craftsmanship. If you can get 2 out of 3, that's usually the best you can do... very rarely can you find a contractor with all 3. In the 8 years I've worked with contractors, there are only 2 guys who have delivered on all 3 -- Peter (and Albert of ASK Roofing).
