Recommended Customer Reviews
I've been using Marathon heating and air for the last 20 years in both commercial and residential projects. I've been completely satisfied and thrilled by their confidence, expertise and knowledge. They have never let me down. It's a great family business and I highly recommend Marathon whole heartedly. They will never disappoint.
Diana L.Marathon was recommended by a contractor for a remodel. They replaced old ducting, relocated the furnace and coil, and installed new air vents. A big job and definitely not an easy one, but they were thorough. They are transparent and honest with what work needs to be done. Their quote was reasonable for the quality of work. Two years later my AC unit stopped cooling, they came out and repaired a plumbing issue that was caused by a contractor, and my AC was up and running again. They wore shoe covers and made sure the areas they worked on were clean before they left. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them for big or small jobs.
Marathon HVAC has been our number one go to for all of our HVAC needs for the past 15 years and will continue to be for the next 15! Ray and his team of expert and trained technicians have consistently offered excellent and fair service. The office is extremely kind and understanding. Ray takes great pride in his work and gives all of the time and attention that I need go over the programming of our systems. We are so grateful to have a knowledgeable and ethical company for our HVAC systems. I highly recommend Marathon for all of your HVAC needs!
This is a great HVAC company and it's family owned. Ray and his family take a lot of pride in their work and his crew is very professional. I had a full HVAC replacement job with some challenging elements involved with both the permit process and also the install. Ray and his team worked tirelessly to get it right. Another detail, his workers really went the extra mile to make sure things were right. Honest, professional, friendly and reliable service. I wish there were more companies run this well.
Ray and his team just took out my old furnace and ducts and replaced it with new ducts, a new furnace and added air conditioning. From the very beginning, I appreciated how Ray came up with a more efficient solution than other companies that had looked at the job. When the team came to do the work, they were on-time, masked, and always professional and courteous. My job took two days and Ray was on site both days. The team was very conscientious about leaving the site clean and tidy the first day and when they left. I highly recommend Ray and his team at Marathon.
Dom O.I want to give a big thank you to Ray and his team! My elderly mother needed service right away and they were able to get her system up and running on last minute notice. I appreciate their attentiveness very much. Thanks again!
Alex S.Twice now I have had a scheduled appointment with this company and both times I have been screwed over!
First time, they scheduled me for 8am, and I had to rearrange my day, as it would take a few hours for them to do what was planned, but 5 minutes after 8, I received a call telling me that a few of the service guys called in sick, and Ray would call me back to reschedule.
Two months later, I called back to find out if everything was okay there. Come to find that they just forgot about me!
Another appointment was scheduled, and two weeks prior, I called in to confirm I was still scheduled, they said yes, Ray will be there 8am sharp!
The day of my second appointment arrives, and again I rearranged my day so Ray could do his job, but just to be on the safe side, I checked in the day before, and was told everything was still as planned. The morning of my second appointment, at 8:10 am after no one had shown, I called in and was told that I was no longer on the schedule, and was asked to wait a minute while they called Ray to see what was going on. They came back to tell me that Ray SAYS there was an emergency (THAT THE OFFICE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT), and they would have to reschedule for the third time!
If this is the way they run there business, don't see how there still operating, especially in these times!
Sandy V.After 5 years of using Marathon HVAC Service, I am choosing to end my relationship with Marathon, the owner and his staff. After spending 12k on a brand you AC unit for my home, I made it clear to the workers that I wanted to keep my little screw driver that came with my brand new ""NEST"" device. I gave it to the workers, plastic wrapped straight from the store. Not only did the workers make a mess in the attic by pulling the existing insulation from the walls, they did a very messy job when they were installing. When I return home from work, I saw the empty box, with my missing screw driver. When I called the company the next day to let the owner know, they acted like it was no big deal, and that I should just be happy with the work done. About a year later, I contacted the company to diagnose a problem at work with my AC unit there. The technician showed up, looked at the NEST device and was there no longer than 7-8 minutes, said there was nothing wrong and left. Then I receive an invoice of $125.00 for what? He didn't diagnose the issue. This time the owner went out to diagnose the problem from my tenants' AC.
The owner himself fumbled with the NEST device and claims he reprogrammed it. Behind my back he told the tenant, that I, the owner of the building ""was a B* to work for, that everyone in the office thought so as well"". I hardly call this professional conduct. 1. I can't forget the careless attitude regarding my missing screwdriver, and the attic that was left in disarray. 2. But when give another shot at keeping me as a customer, its suddenly a character flaw on my part, because they are being asked to do their simply job of diagnosing and issue, which to this day, they have not. How do these two visits warrant a bill of $125.00 just for showing up and not diagnosing the problem. And to tell my tenant I was a B* to work for? That really crosses the line of UNPROFESSIONALISM. Needless to say, Im taking my business some place where respect is fundamental and where a repeated customer is valued.
Beth M.Marathon is the most ethical company I have used for my air conditioning needs. Ray, who is the owner, has always been ethical and kind, and gave me a fair quote for my condo unit when other companies tried to charge two and three times as much and claimed they needed to go through walls, add pipes etc. Ray said none of that was necessary in fixing my ac unit, and did a fantastic job a few years ago. Today I had them come back to do some maintenance on my unit and his technician Cesar was kind, fun, professional and fast. And he was nice to my dogs too who loved him!
I always feel reassured working with Marathon as I know they are honest and ethical, and do not gauge you like other AC companies do. I really appreciate working with them and other neighbors in my condo community have also used them and had the same experience.
Highly recommend.
I usually don't write reviews, but I've worked with Marathon HVAC a couple of times now and they are completely professional. From customer service (Paula) to the actual service men they send out (Cesar, Danny, and Andy), they are respectful, polite, knowledgable and punctual! Moreover, I always get at least 3 companies to bid a job, and these guys were the only ones that really knew what they were doing. They fixed the totally loused up job another company had done when we remodeled our home. Plus, their prices were great! The only problem I had with them was that they were so booked up! And there's a reason why - they're just a great company. Thank you!
