Recommended Customer Reviews

Marathon has been servicing my HVAC unit for years! Whenever friends or family are in need of servicing whether it's HVAC or Plumbing, Marathon is my go to company to refer! Overall great service techs and office representatives who will go above and beyond to get a technician out ASAP for you!

Chris Williamson from Marathon did a fantastic job. I highly recommend to anyone. His entire team was professional, always on time, attention to detail, always left job site clean, communicated status of job perfectly.

David G came to our house to resolve a noise coming from our furnace. Diagnosed it, ordered the part, and came back to install. Very personable and knowledgeable.

Thank you Christian for doing a great job with a job that you did for me. Your Customer Service was on point you were able to attend me as soon as possible and I appreciate it. I'm definitely recommending you to all my friends and family and coworkers for future Business.

Christian was amazing. Thank you for your service!
I recommend Marathon all the time to my family and friends.
Thank you again!

Thank you Christian for the great service. satisfied customer and professional work. I will recommend to anyone.

Just had our annual heating tune up maintenance with Travis. Was a pleasant experience all around. He made a few recommendations with estimates on how to improve the system, but also did a thorough testing of all working components. A very knowledgable tech, and personable as well. Can't ask for a better experience. Thank you to Travis & the team @ Marathon! (formerly known as Kappl HVAC prior to the merge)

A caution to all: A company called Marathon recently bought out some of their (highly-rated) competition in the area and have proceeded to take their five-star reputations into the dumpster. Trane referred me to Kappl Heating & Air Conditioning (one of those companies Marathon had purchased), since I had a warranty issue - in addition to a routine flame sensor fail - and that company had a certified ""Trane Comfort Specialist.""
So I called Kappl/Marathon and specifically requested the ""Trane Comfort Specialist."" What I got was a young guy (actually a very nice guy who was 6 days into his job) who couldn't tell the flame sensor from the ignitor on our Trane unit...let alone advise me on the other problem (involving those noisy inducer motors in ultra-lo nox units). I was charged $99 for being told what I already knew...a faulty flame sensor (actually the tech pulled out a perfectly good ignitor and said this was what was wrong). He also said it would cost another $200 to schedule a second appointment to replace the $40 part ($350 if not under warranty).
First: If you say you're sending out a TCS, please do so! Secondly, since I mentioned it being a faulty flame sensor, bring one! (BTW, shouldn't a Trane specialist have parts that typically fail in his truck?) Since this tech was not a TCS, I asked him to talk to his supervisor about the warranteed part. Well, I never heard back...and that was to be expected. The tech shall remain nameless, since I blame the head office for this unbelievable incompetency...and gouging the customer. Tip for the day: go elsewhere.

I realize it's the middle of summer and they are swimming in business but I am rather disappointed that this company strung me along for two weeks when my family with a toddler was without HVAC. I have a wonky half-finished HVAC project but after having them do an inspection, they assured me they could get the project done and start working on it in a few days, but after a week of repeatedly calling and texting and emailing them to send me a quote, they get back to me saying their boss needed to do a secondary inspection in a few days. I waited patiently, text to confirm, no response, and then day of the scheduled inspection they didn't show up and didn't respond at all until two days later. I'm fine with them chasing business and possibly more lucrative deals but let your customers know what's going on instead of allowing them to bake and suffer unnecessarily. This isn't a vanity project, we are in LA in the middle of summer with a toddler, cooling is absolutely essential.

online booking system is misleading and a waste of time. have to fill out long form, and only then see high price and scheduling dates way out
