We were thankful when the technician was able to look at our HVAC unit same day. Upon arrival he wore a mask, but no shoe guards. I could barely understand anything he said due to his heavy accent. I have no problem dealing with someone who has a thick accent but when you're trying to explain numbers and the issues with the HVAC, I need a clear understanding of what is going on before committing to anything. The technician said there was very low Freon and started pumping some in. After he had pumped Freon on he checked the furnace and noticed a leak in the coil. Does he know what he is doing? And why waste Freon when there was a leak? He should have checked the leak prior to adding Freon because now I was charged for something that no longer exists. I have tried to contact the company to speak to the manager/owner to express my concerns but have not received a call back. I do not recommend this company at all. $140 may not seem a lot to almost but that could've been used towards the money I need to spend on a new HVAC unit.

Maples Mechanical is great! We had a water leak near the meter. We needed help quickly! We called other places and they were not going to be able to come out AND they were charging an arm and a leg. Maples Mechanical came out the same day and only charged HALF of what other places had quoted us! They were so nice! We will definitely use them again! I love Maples Mechanical!

Thank you Rusty, your crew and Maples Mechanical for such a great job!!
Our AC was about 13 years old, acting up, but we wanted to run it down before replacing. Of course it had to happen during holiday weekend. I called multiple AC companies, and the only person that called me back on Good Friday before Easter was Mark from Maples Mechanical. I was glad, because I had them come up before for minor ac and plumbing repairs and they always did a great job. This time, we needed the whole new AC/furnace unit, so I was more hesitant, but I am glad I decided to hire this local small business/company again. Mark sent Rusty who came as scheduled, and he did a great job explaining everything we needed to get done, rather then trying to sell me something unreasonable. After doing my research, I called Rusty back to schedule the instal. He was great working with my busy schedule, and Rusty with his crew came even on Sunday to install. They were all professional, knowledgable and efficient. They also explained how to use the new AC and wifi thermostats. The whole job took little over 2 hrs, and they cleaned after themselves when done. Now it is couple weeks later, my electric bill is lower and the AC works great. Thanks you, Sandra

As much as I liked Mark Maples, it pains me to write this review. I've known and done business with Mark and Maples Mechanical for about 4 years. I own several rental units across the metroplex. I had Maples Mechanical install two complete AC systems in my rentals. I have had issues with both units starting within the first months with one of them and recently issues with another. With both units still under warranty, Mark Maples refuses to fix my units. He installed Coleman AC units which currently have a class action lawsuit concerning defective coils. Both my units have been affected by these defective coils. What makes matters worse, is that I have personally called Mark each day for the last 7 work days and Mark refuses to even discuss this issue with me. His poor customer service has spurred me to write this review. I would not recommend Mark Maples Service to anyone, if issues arise he is not willing to even discuss it with the client. I can only assume he has so much work with these hot August days that he has no need to provide good customer service. The last work I had done from his company was two weeks ago when I needed a compactor replace under warranty and a pound of freon was replaced due to a leak in the coil which is also under warranty. He charged $290 for that warrantee visit and wants to charge me $1100 to replace the warranty coil that is leaking the freon he is replacing and charging me. What is worse, he won't answer or return my calls. I would not do business with Mark Maples.

I've worked with Maples Mechanical twice in the last year -- once with Mark, and once with Bernardo. Both times, they returned my call quickly and scheduled service promptly. I called them because my previous guy stopped returning my calls, so it was a relief that they were so reliable. They were also courteous, did good work, and were focused on making sure I got a fair price.
When I had Bernardo out this summer because my air conditioning wasn't working properly, we discussed the various options and what they would cost (cleaning, partial replacement, full replacement) and I opted to replace the entire system, which was 20 years old. I had to leave the team working alone at my house for most of the day, and I trusted them. Although the job took a few hours longer than estimated, they were in communication with me by phone throughout the day, and the final job came in at the quoted amount -- I think he even threw in some extra discounts. I requested the new outdoor condenser be located in a different place from the original, and Bernardo went above and beyond to make sure the extension lines looked clean and attractive. He even checked in a few weeks later to make sure my system was running properly.
Full disclosure: Maples did recommend that I write this review, but I was happy to do so.

Maples Mechanical has come through for me twice in the last 6 weeks.
On a cold day in November I called Maples Mechanical and talked to Mark because my heater was not running. He put me in contact with Chad to coordinate getting together to figure out what the problem was. A bad circuit board on my heater was fixed and the heat was up and running 2 hours after I called on a 35 degree day.
After that I called about replacing an old 1980's heater unit at our office. Chad removed the old heater, replaced the thermostat, brought me filters and installed an energy efficient unit that is modern and now up to code. Friendly and fast are the two best adjectives to describe the service provided by Maples Mechanical. The cost was more than fair and it felt good to deal with someone who cared most about getting the system running.

After another company had walked in, looked at my AC unit, told me I needed a 7-9k new one, Maples solved my problem in under 2 hours for a mere $123. Amos, the technician was very courteous and thorough. He tested the performance of my AC unit, cleaned it, and blew out a clog. Maples provides service that you can trust.
