Manny is a wonderful person! He came out within an hour on a Sunday to replace our broken water heater. He went with us to select another model and had it replaced within an hour! Not only did he take care of the water heater, he pointed out several other things we could do to improve our faulty 1949 plumbing. Manny is highly knowledgeable in both plumbing and general contracting. He was a pleasure to work with, just like family, and we will have more work coming his way. His rates are very reasonable. I wouldn't pay any attention to the folks on Yelp who didn't review highly, I asked Manny about them and they didn't sound like very nice people.

I had a tankless water heater issue on a Saturday, and Manny came out right away and fixed it. He is extremely knowledgable and easy to work with. Manny really helped me out of a bind and was great to work with. I definitely recommend him!

My toilet needed unclogging at 10 in the evening and I called Manny who fortunately was available and came immediately. He looked familiar and my husband recognized him immediately as the same plumber that helped us out about 6 years earlier!!! Turns out I had already given him a 5 star rating years prior for his excellent work and I have to say consistently his work ethic is still wonderful! The funniest and nicest plumber. I had a terrible experience with Manny. He charged me $2600 to replace my tankless water heater. When he came over, he asked my boyfriend to help him read the instructions on the water heater. After installing it, the settings were incorrect and the water was still freezing. We had to go upstairs and change the settings. I wholeheartedly do not recommend Manny's plumbing. If you're looking for a great plumber in SF, try Red Wrench plumbing.

I would never recommend Manny's Plumbing. I called Manny's Plumbing when I was in a desperate situation, my toilet was badly clogged for the third time in a month. My shower was also leaking into the room below.

Manny showed up on time, but that's the only good thing I can say. He talked non stop, told me all of the plumbing in my home needed to be fixed, that I needed 4 new toilets, that the job the plumbers we'd used during a remodel of our house did a shitty job and that I'd been taken to the cleaners.

He proceeded to tell me that he couldn't do anything that day (a Tuesday) but that he could come back on Thursday to do the work. The price for the toilet repair was a little under $2000.

Manny then told me I owed him $160 for his visit to my home. I asked for a receipt and he made a face and said they were in his truck. I said, do I look stupid? I want a receipt. He replied, I didn't say you were dumb.

I don't know if my initial plumbers were as bad as Manny claimed, but I certainly do feel like Manny's Plumbing TOOK ME TO THE CLEANERS! I had a different plumber come out the following day. He didn't charge me for ""looking at the job"" , he was able to fix the problem, was pleasant and efficient.

Plumbing problems are usually something you need someone to respond to right away. Manny's timely response to our calls has earned him our repeat business.

Each time the job was done in a professional manner. He takes the time to explain things and answers any questions you may have.

Holy Cow, Manny is great! I had a full-blown emergency- garage was flooding, main shutoff for the house was in pieces. He showed up ten minutes after I called him. stopped the flooding, replaced a bucketload of crapped out joints and piping and valve, and even gave me a great talk about replacing my water heater when I asked him. All this and on a Sunday morning earlier than *I* like to leave the house.
