Mann Made Plumbing was sub-contracted to handle the plumbing portion of our bathroom remodel we had being done by a local construction company. Both times they came out they were very unprofessional and behaved like they didn't know what they were doing. The second visit was the worst experience I've had with any plumber to date. The guy installed a P Trap under our new sink that leaked as soon as he left. The plumber didn't know how to properly install a sink stopper rod so I had to hook that up correctly after he left. Finally he mentioned he never worked on a single handle lever shower valve before, left the handle wobbly from not tightening the hex bolt and didn't adjust the ""rotational limit stop"" so the handle only turned half way to lukewarm. To add insult to injury he was asking us to go downstairs, shut off the water main, run water after it was back on etc. So he wanted us to stay in the basement while he was alone on the main level working. Seems really safe to me, and even if that was legit this was his job to do not ours. I would avoid this company like the plague, and I refuse to let the construction company contracted to remodel our bathroom use anyone from this company to fix these mistakes. I have more knowledge about plumbing than the people that came to my house and I'm an IT professional. I never write bad reviews but I don't want people to get taken by these guys. They clearly don't hire experienced professionals.
The worst plumbers in the business. Avoid unless you want to flush money down the toilet. Truly a disgrace to their profession. I paid them $150 to reset a toilet. The fix lasted only a few months. Scheduled an appointment to have them fix their mistake but they failed to show up.
Ann C.I would give Mann 4 stars for performance and 1 star for price. I had used them once before through Angie's List. The plumber, Joe, was professional and courteous. The price was great. So, when my kitchen pipes were frozen yesterday, I called them. Joe was again the plumber. Again he was professional and courteous. He, too was baffled that only the kitchen was frozen with a bathroom 10 feet away working fine, as were other bathrooms, laundry etc. He brought in a gizmo that looked like a large jumper cable and within 5 minutes, voila! Water! He called his boss, Clint, and from his side of the conversation, he was asking about the charge saying,""I've been here less then 30 minutes..."" I could tell that he felt badly as he said, ""well it's a flat fee for frozen pipes regardless of how long it takes"". It's $385. !!!!! What??? That was exorbitant and should definitely have been mentioned when I called to set up the appointment. I was blindsided and will not use them again.
This is Munster, IN not San Francisco as it says by my name.
Pam W.We hired Mann Made plumbing to repair our sewer issues & leaking in our basement. They claimed to have rodded our pipes from our house to the street and also replaced some cast iron pipe in our basement, creating a huge mess in our basement & bathroom, ruining our own storage containers and cleaning rags, and leaving us with a huge mess to clean up. We decided after this that we would need to soon have a clean-out valve installed.
Two days later, we had sewer issues and leaking in our basement again. Because Mann Made was going to charge us over $2,000 for installation of a clean-out valve compared to $400 by another reputable local company, we hired the other company to repair the issues Mann-Made did not fix and also to install a clean-out valve. We had roots blocking our pipes at 5 feet, 60 feet, and 135 feet from our house. So, there is no way that Mann Made Plumbing had rodded our pipes from the house to the street just 2 days prior. Also, Mann Made Plumbing missed a crack in the cast iron piping in our basement. We had to pay the new plumbers to rip out & replace all of the PVC piping Mann-Made Plumbing had installed in order to replace the cracked pipe they had missed.
We contacted Mann-Made Plumbing after this and requested at least some refund of the $820 we paid them. We had documentation from the other plumbing company and photos to support our issues with their faulty repair work & rodding. Even after Mann Made Plumbing received verbal confirmation of our situation from the other local plumbing company, they refused to refund any money to us. I will never hire Mann-Made Plumbing again.
Nick K.Clint and his team installed a water heater in my home this week. He was very easy to communicate with and gave a fair price on installation on a water heater that I purchased on my own through home depot. His team arrived on time in blizzard like conditions to do the install and did a great job.
